Capcom's CEO Joins SCi To Head Up Freshly Acquired Eidos

SCi today announced that Bill Gardner will join the company as CEO US Publishing and a member of the Management Board. Gardner will lead the US publishing office in San Francisco, including publishing, sales and US support teams, working closely with the other members of the Plc and Management Boards to ensure an aligned global strategy.

Gardner has had an extremely successful career in the games industry and brings the Group enormous experience and insight. Gardner worked with Panasonic (Matsushita) as manager of new business development for USA. From there he moved to Capcom USA as President and CEO, responsible for all North American operations, and launched titles including Resident Evil, the Mega Man series, Devil May Cry, Onimusha and Dino Crisis.

He founded Capcom Eurosoft, with offices in London and Hamburg, responsible for total sales across the USA and Europe of more than $250M, and 6 million units per year. In 2004 he founded O~3 (On Our Own) Entertainment, a publishing and distribution company to service independent developers, and successfully promoted and launched Alien Hominid, from developer The Behemoth, and three additional SKUs within 10 months of start-up.
