Harry, Ron, and Hermione are all playable characters, modeled after their big-screen counterparts. In this game, an all-new spell-casting system allows players to feel the magic for the first time as the controller shakes and reacts with every flick of the wand. Players can also team up with friends in co-operative play to combine their magic and produce more powerful spells than ever before!

Ireland has just defeated Bulgaria in the Quidditch World Cup final. Harry, Ron, Hermione and the rest of the Weasleys are making their way back to the wizard campsite when they see hooded wizards (Death Eaters) attacking the Roberts family. Concerned, Mr. Weasley sends Harry, Ron, and Hermione into the woods to find the Portkey. Once amongst the trees, the three friends must avoid being seen by various hooded wizards and defeat any Dugbogs that they encounter. They are able to use Carpe Retractum and Wingardium Leviosa to move and levitate objects, respectively. At the end of the level, the friends arrive in a clearing where Arthur Weasley is trapped under a fallen tree/rock. Harry, Ron, and Hermione must cast Wingardium Leviosa on the fallen tree/rock at the same time to free Arthur, allowing him to fend off the advancing Death Eaters before the Dark Mark is cast.

Harry and the other Triwizard champions prepare to take part in the second task. Harry scans the crowd, but he can’t see Ron or Hermione and he wonders why they’re not there to watch him compete. The task begins; Harry eats the Gillyweed and enters the Black Lake. Once beneath the surface, he must swim to the underwater ruins (as seen in the film) and rescue Ron and Gabrielle Delacour. At various intervals, Harry will encounter Grindylows (which can be defeated with jinxes).
