'Phantasy Star Universe' (PS2/X360/PC) December Content Update

Phantasy Star Universe offers long-time fans the single-player experience they have been clamoring for. The solo adventure features more than 40 hours of gameplay, an emotionally engaging story, traditional cut scenes, and strong character development. The title's hero is Ethan Waber, a 17-year old cadet intent on saving his sister, who is living on a planet under siege by mysterious life forces called THE SEED. In Online Mode, players are given the opportunity to create their own characters from a range of races, and they get to explore all three planets in the Grarl solar system. Fans can travel with a squad of other adventurers, enter urban sprawls teeming with hundreds of other players, and build their avatars into powerful warriors.

Phantasy Star Universe offers the best of both worlds through an exciting action-packed epic sci-fi RPG single-player story mode and a rich online multiplayer experience. In the online mode, players can travel with a squad of five other adventurers, enter urban sprawls teeming with hundreds of players, and build their avatars into powerful warriors. Gamers will also experience the new customizable and highly interactive features in online mode including character creation, My Room (personalized online space), expansive interactive lobbies, shops, and new missions. The online mode opens up a universe filled with robust monthly content downloads including brand new quests and other additions such as weapons, bosses, clothing, Photon Arts, and more.

The online mode GUARDIANS License will be available for purchase for Xbox 360, PlayStation®2 computer entertainment system, and PC online users at $9.99 a month. The GUARDIANS License will also be available at a discounted rate of $49.99 for six months of online play for the PlayStation 2 system and PC. The GUARDIANS License enriches the single-player story mode by enabling gamers to meet other players, strike up alliances, and embark on a huge variety of online quests within the Phantasy Star Universe environment.

GUARDIANS can now be specialized in one of 7 new hybrid classes available at the GUARDIANS HQ. These new classes will enable GUARDIANS to level up to use A and S rank weapons.

Level Cap:

The current level cap has been increased to level 60, and Photon abilities and TECHNICs can now be raised to level 30 depending on your character class.

Partner Machinery:
Partner Machinery Device Zero available, you can now return your Partner Machinery to its original state and start from the beginning and change your PM's form.

Missions:

Over 10 S Rank quests will be opened up on all planets, including a brand new dragon.
