'Project Torque' Announced - Screens

by Rainier on June 13, 2007 @ 2:31 a.m. PDT

Aeria Games & Entertainment Inc. announced their next free-to-play title Project Torque, the first Free-to-Play Competitive Online Arcade Racer or COAR.

“We have been watching a lot of Xzibit’s Pimp My ride in preparation for PT. Whenever I purchase a new car, I like to say: time to “level” up my ride.” said Josh Sell, Game Master, Aeria Games. “PT has all the elements of a racing simulator like Gran Turismo where you can tweak your car specifications down to a lug nut, but it also allows the player to level up his racing stats the more races he plays, wins and loses. I think that’s pretty cool.”

Project Torque is set to launch the Open Beta version in July, but players who have registered for free Last Chaos accounts are already starting to receive closed Beta invitations.
