Boot Up, Tune In and Vote For the Ultimate Gaming Track

by Rainier on June 14, 2007 @ 9:26 a.m. PDT

Today the final shortlist of Xbox Soundtracks was revealed as voting for your favorite tracks opens to select the ultimate winner of a professional recording session. For the past month thousands of DJs, bands, composers and gamers alike from across Europe have been creating new music tracks inspired by the latest games on the Xbox 360.

Musical superstars from around the world have also taken part in the project with Scissor Sisters cutting a re-mix to Halo Wars and Roger Sanchez creating an exclusive track to accompany upcoming Xbox 360 game Too Human. Entrants to the competition could find these and loads of other tunes created especially for Xbox Soundtracks from top DJs and bands to help inspire their own creation.

Since the competition closed earlier this month, entries have been reviewed and short listed by Xbox Belgium and Universal Music Belgium. From today anyone can visit the voting site, watch the entries and rate their favourites. Voting closes on 19th July 2007 and the winner will be revealed on site later that month, winning the chance to lay down their track in a Universal Music studio with top music producers.

To hear how the hottest new music-makers have been inspired by their favourite Xbox games, view the judges favorites and get voting for all the Soundtracks that could make gaming and music history.
