by Rainier on June 22, 2007 @ 9:37 a.m. PDT

Smash Court Tennis 3 invites you to take on 16 of the world's best tennis players in single player and multiplayer games, choosing from seven exciting modes, ranging from detailed Pro Tours to unique mini-games like Bomb Tennis and Pac-Man Tennis. Design your own rising star with more than twice as many customizable parts and attributes as previous games in the series. Rally against your friends through game sharing, going head-to-head with a single UMD in versus and mini-game modes.

Smash Court Tennis 3 arms players with twice as many customizable items than its predecessor including racquets, sportswear and more as they compete to be #1 in the world. Perfect a devastating array of strokes from a selection of top ranked and promising professional tennis stars, each of whom are modeled after their real-life counterparts. Own the court by developing and acquiring new skills such as increasing your hit speed or serve accuracy. Mental elements also play into how characters act and look, so stay focused on your game! Test your skills in various gameplay modes including Arcade, Exhibition, and Pro Tour Mode. Want a quick hiatus from the circuit? Try one of the imaginative and addicting mini games!

"We are thrilled to announce that the next iteration of our popular Smash Court Tennis series is set to appear on the PSP system," said Makoto Iwai, Executive Vice President and COO of NAMCO BANDAI Games. "With the franchise's signature gameplay and new enhancements, Smash Court Tennis 3 is the perfect on-the-go package that's made for a jet-setting tennis pro."

Smash Court Tennis 3 boasts an impressive game sharing system, where players can go head-to-head with a friend in versus mode using a single UMD. Intensify bragging rights as local rankings add to the fun of wireless play via Ad Hoc mode.

Smash Court Tennis 3 is rated E for Everyone by the ESRB and will carry a suggested MSRP of $29.99.
