Slitherine Bringing 'Military History' Brand to NDS/PSP

Following the success of The History Channel Great Battles of Rome and the development of next-gen title History Great Battles of the Middle Ages, Slitherine will be launching a new series of video games for portable consoles based on A&E Television Networks' Military History brand.

Following the success of The History Channel Great Battles of Rome and the development of next-gen title History Great Battles of the Middle Ages, Slitherine will be launching a new series of video games for portable consoles based on the Military History brand.

With an identified target audience of dedicated strategy gamers around the world, this series of games will satisfy the growing appetite to bring PC-style turn-based and real time strategy gaming to the now widely popular handheld console systems.

”Military History is excited to be working with Slitherine to bring strategy gaming to portable consoles. The popularity of these consoles with people of all ages makes this an opportune time to enter this market,” says Carrie Trimmer, Director of Licensing for AETN.

The first product in the series will be released in first quarter 2009 begin the extended collaboration between the two companies.
