X-Blades is a 3rd person anime style action/adventure in development at Gaijin Entertainment. Your female heroine weilds two magical blades, which either can be used as swords or guns, and also has magical abilities, all of which are upgradable. Spread over 20 locations, dozens of uniques enemies, the game also features 2 two different endings.

X-Blades is the first action game in anime-style developed in Russia, executed in the best traditions of this genre and will certainly astonish the users with its beautiful graphics and many other elements as well, such as intriguing plot, unusual enemies and rich arsenal of murderous skills and magic, which allows the user to fight monsters as efficiently as spectacular. For those who are longing for epos the developers propose to become part of a legend of a mysterious artifact, hair-rising curse and secrets of ancient civilizations.

Users keen on slashing combats will find a huge variety of ways of eliminating countless enemies. Two powerful gunblades which the heroine always carries about allow the user to make a real slaughter in close combat and also feel like an habitue of a shooting gallery. Apart from all kinds of standard guns, which may be everyway upgraded, the arsenal includes more than fifteen smashing spells – so no one would begrudge the heroine’s enemies.

X-Blades features a special combination of cinematic style, beautiful animation, and relentless, high speed gameplay. Players assume the role of Ayumi, a stunningly seductive yet tenacious heroine who battles enemies with her pistol blades, acrobatic ability, and magic spells. With full anime cut scenes, the story unfolds revealing demonic powers and spectacular landscapes, all ripe for exploration and battles.

When Ayumi isn't using her effective combat spells, she faces up to the enemy hordes with naked blades and explosive projectiles. Since the unique Gunblades are a combination of sword and pistol, the heroine can change her combat style lightning-fast. Surrounded by countless opponents, Ayumi uses both blades with deadly accuracy in hand-to-hand combat. She's well versed in various combat techniques - and she makes full use of them to cut her way through the ranks of the monsters. The player is rewarded with special finishing moves for carrying out particularly successful combos.

Ice Flower:

I found this skill from an artifact I…er…borrowed from the mountain dwellers. It took me a while to find it in their caves, even though I think the antelope people never knew of its existence. After I researched the artifact and learned from it I was able to shoot ice crystals up from out of the earth. It was very helpful on my way back down the mountain when I was attacked by wolves. I’m actually very excited about using this power with some of my other spells. For example, I can knock enemies down with earthquake and than give them some cold revenge with Ice Flower. (Requirement: Ice Arrow)

Lightform:

The Light truly is a power to reckon with. When I let the power wash over me, it’s almost like I enter some form of trance. I have control of what I’m doing but it’s almost as if I’m not doing it. Weird. The Light power enhanced my running, fighting, and shooting abilities but at what price? I can use “Ray of Light” more efficiently but it seems like I can’t collect Rage points while in this form.

The Dark Guardian:

This powerful substance usually appears near The Dark; however, it’s difficult to say whether it’s a servant of The Dark or a product of his magic. Apart from his mighty spell, The Dark issues forth particles which explode upon impact. As with all Elementalis, they’re vulnerable to magic opposed to their own.

Ice Guardian:

According to legend, the Ice Guardian is the oldest of all Ice Elementali. Like his smaller counterparts, he attacks his opponents with Cold magic, sending forth kamikaze-like Elemantalis that strike and freeze his enemies. As with all Elementalis, they’re vulnerable to magic opposed to their own.
