Live the life of a law enforcement officer tasked with saving the world in Hudson Entertainment’s new release Miami Law, featuring explosive action, as well as crime-scene investigation, which players will use interchangeably to help save the city of Miami.

Miami Law contains explosive action, as well as crime-scene investigation, which players will use interchangeably to help save the city of Miami.

A mix of crime-scene detection and action elements, Miami Law offers the player to guide one of two characters – Martin Law from the Miami PD or FBI Agent Sara Starling – as they are charged with solving a series of linked crimes in the US city. Law is an intense officer who will use any means necessary to make a bust, while Sterling is an intelligent agent with an eye for detail, and both will face different challenges as the game unfolds.

Playing as Martin Law, players will experience a more action-orientated game, wherein the Miami PD officer becomes embroiled in the hard-edged side of law enforcement, with Miami Law throwing up car chases, intense shoot-outs and face-offs. Alternatively, playing as Starling presents a more puzzle-solving side to the game, with the FBI agent using forensics and detailed examination techniques to search for clues. Both are working to uncover a shadowy terrorist conspiracy, but their successes and failures along the way will have an ongoing effect on the plot.

By logging onto the Nintendo Channel, players can preview two mini-games from the action-adventure title filled with furious shoot-outs in abandoned warehouses, challenging crime-scene detective work and more!

The Nintendo DS Demo includes two mini-games titled “Confirmation of Guard” and “Car Support.” In “Confirmation of Guard,” Law is about to break into the hideout for the Cuban Connection, a major drug-dealing organization. As Sara, you must use the port’s security cameras to determine how many guards are waiting for Law. If you miss even one, you’ll be putting Law’s life in danger! “Car Support” takes place after Law barely survives a shootout under the highway and two of the key players in the Miami Syndicate, another criminal organization, are trying to escape by car. As Law, you must drive your car as Sara shoots to prevent them from escaping. Law must dodge their gunshots while keeping the car steady for Sara!

Features:

  • A story worthy of its own TV series: Miami Law’s story would fit right in with your favorite TV action/-dramas. It’s got a shadowy terrorist conspiracy involving revolution, nerve gas, a time bomb, and even the takeover of a US Navy missile cruiser.
  • Action and crime-scene investigation all in one: Survive event sequences such as furious shoot-outs in abandoned warehouses, chase fleeing criminals down the freeway, and disarm bombs mere seconds from explosion. Or tax your brain with event sequences like finding vital fingerprints, analyzing mysterious evidence, or performing video surveillance to save your partner’s life. The choice is yours, depending on which character you want to follow.
  • Choose your character and change the story: Pick your character and watch the story unfold differently, depending on what you do. Choose from Law Martin, the hotheaded action junkie from the Miami PD who’d prefer to shoot first and ask questions later or Sara Starling, the cool, intellectual FBI agent who’s best at analyzing the situation before leaping into the fray. You can even change between the characters at numerous points in the story!
  • Unlockable extras: Once you complete the game, you’ll unlock several additional games and event sequences!

With its evolving gameplay and varied content, Miami Law is a unique NDS title that will continually surprise and enthrall. With additional unlockable sub-games located as a game progress award, and a unique control interface, Hudson Soft has delivered the ultimate cop show for the Nintendo handheld

Miami Law is scheduled for North American release in June 9, 2009, while Europe will get it Sept. 2009.
