Good Old Games Adds 'Neverwinter Nights' And Halloween Promo

by Rainier on Oct. 29, 2010 @ 3:15 a.m. PDT

GOG.com has signed a digital distribution agreement with Black Isle, expanding its catalog with Planescape: Torment for $9.99, Win7/Vista compatible, DRM free, and packed with bonus materials, including the soundtrack, over 100 pieces of artwork, forum avatars, wallpapers and a Chris Avellone/Colin McComb book.

Neverwinter Nights, one of the best RPG set in the Forgotten Realms, is now available on GOG.com! What's even better that's the huge Diamond Edition which includes the standalone game plus three expansions: Shadows of Undrentide, Hordes of the Underdark and Kingmaker. But that's not all - with the game we're bundling in-game soundtrack, wallpapers, artworks, map and more - for only $9.99!

To celebrate this great release GOG.com has teamed up with NWN community and launched two contests for all Neverwinter Nights fan, encouraging gamers to create a NWN module entitled "The DRM monster and the treasure of GOG" :). Those who are skilled enough can participate in a second contest and create a model of the DRM monster. From all entries we will pick 5 best quests and the best model of the evil DRM monster and reward their authors with free GOG games, plus we'll post a special mod spotlight highlighting the winning entries.

All details for both contests can be found here at GOG.com.

But there's more good news! From tomorrow GOG.com is starting our Halloween Weekend promo with some good old & scary games from Activision. Until Monday, November 1 at 11:59 p.m. EDT (Tuesday, November 2 at 5:59 a.m. CET) we'll be giving an up to 40% off on Gabriel Knight series, Phantasmagoria games and Vampire The Masquerade Redemption! Be sure to visit GOG during the weekend!
