'Fat Princess' (PS3) Rolls Out v1.05 Patch, Adds New Maps

by Rainier on March 26, 2010 @ 2:46 a.m. PDT

Frantic and fun, Fat Princess pits two hordes of players against each other in comic medieval battle royale. Your goal is to rescue your beloved princess from the enemy dungeon. There's a catch though: your adversary has been stuffing her with food to fatten her up and it's going to take most of your army working together to carry her back across the battlefield.

You can switch between five different character classes literally at the drop of a hat: the fearless Warrior, the steadfast Archer, the mystical Mage, the tireless Worker, and the deadly Priest. In order to triumph, players must combine their skills and work together. The name of the game is cooperation, whether it's helping another player drag a log back to your castle, manning a battering ram to smash through the enemy's front gate, or building a human pyramid to scramble over the walls.

The update contains a brand new snow theme with two new amazing maps, “Candy Mountain” and “Frost Bite”. Not only are the maps crammed with new strategies, but they also contain new gameplay features including slippy ice physics and destructible pathways. We know you are going to love these new maps as they are a blast to play and are some of the team’s favorites.

All good things must come to an end, and patch 1.05 marks the final installment of Titan Studios’ involvement with Fat Princess, it will henceforth be supported by Seattle based Atomic Operations. The team have greatly enjoyed the creation and development of Titania, and have been inspired by the awesome community the game has created. We would like to give a huge thank you to all of the Fat Princess fans for their amazing support, you have helped to make the game what it is today. Having moved on from Fat Princess our team are now currently hard at work on new and exciting products, and we look forward to revealing more to the community as soon as we can. Stay tuned to the Titan Blog for more details.

Titan Studios have also fixed a few issues recently brought to our attention:

  • Warrior: Fixed to disallow shield activation when carrying objects, as well as attenuating damage against lava and drowning.
  • Ice Mage: Changed level 1 area attack to slow enemies, not freeze them.
  • Soccer map: Disabled online score saving for this level (sorry, all, but it was too easy to gain rank).
