'Neverwinter' Beta Weekend #3 Kicks Off Friday, Adds PvP - Screens & Trailer

by Rainier on March 19, 2013 @ 1:30 p.m. PDT

In Neverwinter, players choose to become one of five classic D&D classes and team up with friends or NPCs to form five-person co-op groups. Players also create their own storylines and quests utilizing a user-friendly content generation system.

They might not be the most pleasant-looking creatures, but they are definitely a fierce bunch of savage and bloodthirsty warriors. By plaguing the civilized races, Orcs have always been a major threat to humans, elves and dwarfs. Laying claim to the area in the northern half of the old Tower District, Orcs have made the Cloak Tower in Neverwinter their home. Even the most courageous heroes will have to fight their way through the ruins of this district to put an end to the Orc domination and help restore Neverwinter to her former glory.

Starting at 20:00 p.m. (CET) 19:00 p.m. GMT / on Friday, March 22, players with early access to Neverwinter's Beta Weekend 3 can experience a wealth of new content, including the first opportunity to check out Neverwinter's PvP system and the chance to explore the Pirates' Skyhold and Icespire Peak Adventure Zones. In addition, players may take control of the new Great Weapon Fighter class. An increased level cap of 50, alongside many other significant improvements based directly on feedback from previous Beta Weekends, promises to make Neverwinter's Beta Weekend 3 the best yet.

"The response from the Neverwinter community and members of the press who participated in our previous Beta Weekends has been amazing so far," said Lead Producer Andy Velasquez. "On behalf of the entire development team at Cryptic Studios, I'd like to thank all Beta Weekend players for their feedback and support in making Neverwinter the best free MMORPG around!"
