'Warhammer 40,000: Eternal Crusade' (ALL) Early Access Adds Eldar Faction - Screens & Trailer

by Rainier on June 9, 2016 @ 3:44 p.m. PDT

Warhammer 40,000: Eternal Crusade is a 3rd person persistent MMOTPS of the 41st Millenium.

Warhammer 40,000: Eternal Crusade features a persistent world where players must choose from one of four factions and work together to take down opposing forces.

In Warhammer 40,000: Eternal Crusade, four factions -- Space Marines, Chaos Space Marines, Eldar, and Orks -- plan their strategy and deploy their squads as they assault strongholds, defend outposts, and delve into the Underworld to combat hordes of Tyranids. Players must work in harmony both on and off the battlefield in order to advance their faction’s goals and establish supremacy over the enemy.

Eternal Crusade's combat is fully action-based, meaning that you hit exactly where you shoot or swing and it's up to your skill whether you pull off a headshot or block that incoming chainsword. Both ranged and melee weapons have equal emphasis – as in the iconic battles of Warhammer 40,000, combat begins at a distance with guns and heavy vehicle-mounted weaponry before progressing to bloody blade-on-blade action with brutal executions.

Though they once ruled the stars, the proud and ancient Eldar brought a terrible curse upon themselves that divided their empire forever. Now they struggle against the dying of the light, deploying their few remaining warriors only in the face of the gravest threats. On the planet Arkhona, the Eldar fight to reclaim a world that was once theirs, as failure in the Eternal Crusade may lead to their extinction.

The Eldar are one of the most ancient races in the Warhammer 40,000 universe. Humanoid in appearance, the Eldar seem to be more advanced than the other races thanks to their great psychic powers. Though they once ruled the stars, the proud and ancient Eldar brought a terrible curse upon themselves that sundered their empire forever. Now they struggle against the dying of the light, deploying their few remaining warriors only in the face of the gravest threats. On Arkhona the Eldar fight to reclaim a world that was once theirs.

The Eldar faction will be deployed this week in Warhammer 40,000: Eternal Crusade on Steam Early Access – joining the current Space Marines and Chaos Space Marines factions.
