'Star Conflict' Celebrates Anniversary With New Content, Player Incentives

by Rainier on Feb. 2, 2017 @ 12:47 p.m. PST

Star Conflict is a dynamic new MMO action game that puts you at the helm of a space ship to fight in the star fleet’s massive battles!

The action in Star Conflict takes place in remote future, in times when mankind seems to have discovered all the secrets of the Universe, and the boundaries of knowledge are left far behind by the progress. But on the very edge of the Galaxy, in Sector 1337, a random expedition suddenly discovers a place of the dead, deserted worlds - the ruins of the great civilization of Precursors, which was destroyed by an unknown deadly anomaly.

This doesn’t stop mankind, the new «owner» of the Universe.

The thirst to know the mysteries of the ancient civilization only flares up the never-ending conflict between the factions that are constantly fighting for the power in the Universe. And now everyone – from warriors to peaceful astrologers – is striving to find the ancient artefacts and learn the mysteries of the Wise.

Many have disappeared — including members of well-armed expeditions — but those who have managed to return have uncovered unprecedented riches. So looters continue to come here, to find the Precursors’ lost treasures — and to fight for them.

This is where Star Conflict begins, the space battle of three factions, the outcome of which will show who will rule the Universe.

With the galaxy on the brink of war and the Precursors’ legacy at stake, elite pilots will be in high demand. Join them in Star Conflict, where a new era of space action awaits!

StarGem and Gaijin Entertainment’s free-to-play MMO action game, Star Conflict, celebrates its fifth anniversary today (went open beta in 2012), inviting all fans of the genre to join the festivities around the birthday of this vast game universe. The developers have introduced a variety of gifts for pilots who login to play between February 3rd and February 5th, and also shared their plans for the future development of the game.

From Friday to Sunday, all players will also earn 50% more experience points in combat and can unlock unique decals and colouring schemes for their spacecraft by participating in various special birthday events.

A set of honorary titles depending on the veterancy of the player is also available for pilots who registered to play the game since Closed Beta.

Further birthday incentives include a free two days of Premium account and 100 Xenocrystals, which can be used to craft and upgrade the new and exciting vessels introduced in the recent Evolution update. Representing a fusion of human and alien technology, these extraordinary vessels - like the Thar’Ga class - are capable of extensive and flexible customization, which allows players to upgrade and modify their ships to thousands of very unique different variations and configurations based on their own play style and preferences.

Key Features:

  • A Fleet at Your Fingertrips: Take command of varied battleships, from nimble scouting ships to heavy frigates loaded with guns and rockets. In due time, you can command your own fleet.
  • Choose Your Path: Each ship can be used for strategic missions—investigate the area, hunt enemies from the shadows, or gain support from allies. The impressive arsenal of weapons and gadgets available will help with your success.
  • If You’re Not With Us, You’re Against Us!: Form an alliance with friends to create a deadly squadron of elite pilots. Enter your name in the annals of Universe history. Send enemies scrambling when they see your ship approach!
  • Gain Experience and Skill: However strong and dexterous you are as a pilot, there’s always room to improve. Develop your abilities, establish specialized skills, and perfect your tactics. You could rush into battle full-force, operate stealthily from a distance, or sneak around your enemies and strike a crushing blow from behind—the strategy is up to you!
