'Dreadnought' (ALL) PS4 Closed Beta Introduces Havoc Co-op Mode - Screens & Trailer

by Rainier on June 6, 2017 @ 9:42 a.m. PDT

Dreadnought is an aerial armada action game set in a futuristic era of war and refuge where players will take on the role of a mercenary spaceship captain who owes allegiance to no nation, fighting for glory amidst a galaxy of chaos.

Set in a futuristic era of galactic strife, Dreadnought puts players in command of massive capital ships for all-out tactical action warfare in space and across the skies of distant worlds. Battleships come in a variety of shapes and sizes, each specialized to bring a unique, class-based role to the squad. Commanders will assume complete control, dedicating power to specific sub-systems, customizing weapons, engines, armor, abilities, crew and their ships’ aesthetics, all while collaborating with the development teams to help determine what comes next.

There are more than 50 playable vessels, each of which can be customized with a range of weapons, modules and cosmetic upgrades. There are five ship classes, specializing in vital roles like frontline assault, long-range bombardment, strategic support and more.

Available only on the PS4, Havoc is a cooperative mode in which three players attempt to survive as long as possible against progressively tougher waves of enemies from the Scavs, a new AI faction with their own unique ships. Rather than bringing their own premade fleet loadouts into battle, players will select ships at the beginning of each match and upgrade them over time. Havoc is playable on two new maps: Xanthe and Hekate.

The game’s PS4 closed beta features six playable maps and four game types: Team Deathmatch, Team Elimination, Training and Havoc modes.

Players can register for Dreadnought’s closed beta on the PS4 at here. Instant access to the closed beta can also be obtained with the purchase of one of the new Dreadnought Founder’s Packs, available today via the PlayStation Store:

  • PS4 Hunter Pack ($9.99) – Closed beta access, plus two Hero Ships (the PCF Morningstar Dreadnought and PCF Silesia Artillery Cruiser), 1,200 Grey Box Points (GP), which can be used to buy ship emblems, decals and more, 10,000 Credits, which can be spent on new ships, weapon upgrades and modules, seven days of Elite Status, which grants bonus experience and credits per match, two Fleet Recruitment Packs, and an assortment of coatings, emblems and decals.
