As captains of mercenary ships, players must wage war for the highest bidder on the fringe: a region of space heavily fought over for its wealth of resources and strategic importance. Fringe Wars puts players in direct command of massive capital starships and pits them in 5v5 tactical MOBA warfare.

Fringe Wars allows players to choose from a variety of ships each with its own unique stats, loadout, abilities and role. As captains earn fame and fortune in the fringe, they are able to heavily customize their ships in a variety of ways. Each ship has various modules that can be swapped out with other purchasable equipment such as weapons and shields. Captains can also visually customize their ships in detail.

Oasis Games announced that their MOBA inspired space multiplayer action game Fringe Wars will be heading for full release in 2018.

"We have decided to go back and add more to the game, people gave us great feedback at the recent events but we want to go even further" Daniel Lin, Senior Marketing Director from Oasis Games  "We want to create something that players fall in love with and provide an experience that provides quality and quantity. To that end, we have decided to spend more development time on the game to create something truly special and add more content and features."

With the 2018 release, the game's beta period will take place in spring of 2018 and the developers will spend the fall period working on the game and adding new content.
