'World of Warships' v0.6.10 Update Adds British Battleships, And More

by Rainier on Aug. 31, 2017 @ 12:35 p.m. PDT

World Of Warships is a free-to-play naval action MMO based on sea battles of the 20th century that complete the "World of" war trilogy.

Keeping with the best traditions of the series, World of Warships will offer a straightforward interface, easy-to-use controls, and a common economic system that will allow players to distribute resources between the three games for the ultimate progress in each of them.

The large assortment of available warships will give various tactical opportunities, as all the machines have a unique combination of firepower, speed, armor, and endurance. Various naval maps with changing weather conditions will enrich the gameplay, and the realistic graphics will transport players into the epic battles that changed the course of human history.

World of Warships has rolled out update 0.6.10, adding the highly-anticipated line of British Battleships into the game, including the Iron Duke and King George V.

The new ships are known for their midrange marksmanship and receive the Improved Repair Party consumable, which restores more HP after receiving damage from shell hits. In addition, they pack HE shells with increased damage and armor penetration.

The British Battleships line includes:

  • Tier III: Bellerophon
  • Tier IV: Orion
  • Tier V: Iron Duke
  • Tier VI: Queen Elizabeth
  • Tier VII: King George V
  • Tier VIII: Monarch
  • Tier IX: Lion
  • Tier X: Conqueror

The update also adds new dynamic lighting effects appearing on main and secondary battery shots and hits, including smoother water splashes caused by torpedo explosions, ship destruction, and fires. Improvement to the game’s sound can also be heard thanks to more realistic sound behavior, featuring everything from enhanced ambient noise to the amplification of fire alarms and explosions depending on distance.
