'Mary Skelter: Nightmares' (Vita) Job System Details, Character Spotlight - Screens

by Rainier on Sept. 7, 2017 @ 5:27 p.m. PDT

Beware! The Nightmare monster stalks you as you navigate this dungeon-crawling RPG. Stand your ground, or use traps to slow down the insatiable monsters and escape to fight another day.

Powerful Nightmares actively stalk the player as you run through the dungeon--fight back with the dungeons' gimmicks or the Blood Maidens' abilities! Using a turn-based battle system, class changes, a blood-licking transform system, and more, you and your party must solve the dungeons' mysteries and satisfy the prison's desires. You just might make it out alive!

The Jail suddenly appeared a number of years ago, sinking the city deep into the ground. There, the Jail had power over eerie creatures called "Marchens."

Within the prison was a boy named Jack - living a life of suffering, tortured day in and day out, in a world where all dreams, hopes, peace, and humanity had been lost for as long as the people could remember.

Then one day, amidst the darkness that prevailed, a girl who called herself a member of the Blood Team came and rescued Jack from the prison. This marked the beginning of fate - of Jack's and the Blood Maidens' escape from the Jail...

Jack and the Blood Team will face countless perils in regaining all that has been lost, to finally escape once and for all!

Marchens and Nightmares come in all shapes and sizes, and with all kinds of weaknesses and strengths. Just as Marchens evolve, your party must too!

Use the Job System to change a Blood Maiden's abilities and appearance, which will allow you to access a completely different set of equipment and skills. Each Blood Maiden has a unique list of jobs to choose that's based on her combat style. Some are able to choose special jobs like "Item Meister," which allows her to use items in battle, or "Poet," which allows her to use music to support her party. There are over 20 jobs to choose from so you can customize your own Blood Maiden team!

Who are the Blood Maidens? Get acquainted with this week's Character Spotlight.

CHARACTER SPOTLIGHT #3

RAPUNZEL: Easily recognizable because of her golden hair, Rapunzel is the youngest of the Blood Maidens. She grows attached to Jack because he gives her food. Once, she mistook Jack for food and bit him.

GRETEL: A curious young girl who only cares about what interests her. Because she considers Jack a good-natured person, she takes an interest in him. Her lack of common sense causes her to say some cringe-worthy things.

CINDERELLA: A girl who speaks like a refined lady, but is unable to focus when speaking to Jack. She's a modest person even though she acts like a princess.
