'Descenders' (ALL) Trick or Treat Update Will Add New Tricks, Environment, Halloween Content - Trailer

by Rainier on Oct. 23, 2018 @ 6:19 p.m. PDT

Descenders is an extreme downhill freeriding for the modern era, with procedurally generated worlds, and where mistakes have real consequences.

Descenders throws players into the high-octane world of downhill biking, where every jump, whip and scrub will earn Rep points for you and your team - but with the risk that you might lose it all with just one badly timed landing.

A deep physics system and tight controls allow players to string together incredible trick combos, as you make your way down the mountain and attempt to reach the bottom with as few scratches as possible.

Procedurally generated worlds mean that no two runs are ever the same, with special challenge nodes to discover and nerve-racking Boss Jumps that truly sort the casuals from the pros. But linger for too long and the sun will begin to set, forcing you to ride through the night to get the job done.

Descenders will become that little bit trickier next week, when the Trick or Treat Update adds a whole host of special tricks you can pull off to boost your combo.

The Trick or Treat Update, coming to PC and Xbox One on October 29, will add tricks like Superman, No Hander, Candy Bar, and more. A new Descenders trailer shows these tricks in action, alongside a brand new skate-park environment.

And as the name might suggest, this update comes just in time for Halloween. Expect spooky goings-on, and special haunted items to find.

Coupled with the recent Replay Mode Update, which allows Descenders players to record and play their best runs back, this new injection of tricks means that players will now be able to compile incredible trick videos.

Grab your bike, pick your team, and attempt to live up to the legend of your Descender. Will you join the die-hard, trick-frenzy ranks of Team Enemy, the proficient, off-road stylings of Team Arboreal, or the high-octane, speed-is-everything Team Kinetic?

Apart from wearing your team's colors with pride, players will also receive exclusive gear from their team, and can earn special prizes if their team is top of the leaderboards at the end of each month. Meanwhile, players will be able to hang out with their team-mates in the Descenders Overworld, practicing tricks together and checking the team leaderboards, before heading out to watch each other's runs.

As you ride, whip and scrub to victory, you'll unlock Crew Members who will provide special upgrades and mutators, allowing you to hone your run to your exact specifications. With over 3.5 billion levels to explore, dozens of mutators to bag, numerous hidden nodes, and a plethora of unlockable kits, helmets, bikes and accessories, Descenders is packed with many hours of content.

Key Features:

  • Procedurally generated worlds: Take on different jumps, slopes and hillbombs every time you play
