'Neverwinter' (ALL) Ravenloft Expansion Announced, PC Date - Screens & Trailer

by Rainier on May 10, 2018 @ 11:06 a.m. PDT

In Neverwinter, players choose to become one of five classic D&D classes and team up with friends or NPCs to form five-person co-op groups. Players also create their own storylines and quests utilizing a user-friendly content generation system.

Players explore the vast city of Neverwinter and its surrounding countryside, learning the vivid history of the iconic city and battling its many enemies. In Neverwinter, players can create their own quests and campaigns with the Foundry, a powerful content creation tool that allows players to seamlessly integrate their adventures in to the live game world.

They might not be the most pleasant-looking creatures, but they are definitely a fierce bunch of savage and bloodthirsty warriors. By plaguing the civilized races, Orcs have always been a major threat to humans, elves and dwarfs. Laying claim to the area in the northern half of the old Tower District, Orcs have made the Cloak Tower in Neverwinter their home. Even the most courageous heroes will have to fight their way through the ruins of this district to put an end to the Orc domination and help restore Neverwinter to her former glory.

Neverwinter: Ravenloft, the game’s 14th module, transports adventurers to the gothic horror setting of Barovia starting June 26 (arriving later on consoles).

The iconic campaign is a departure for Neverwinter and brings unique gameplay features that tie in to the dark domain of Ravenloft. The latest module for the free-to-play MMORPG set in the Forgotten Realms (and beyond) offers an all-new Campaign, the Adventure Zone of Barovia, Tarokka Card Readings by Madame Eva, Heroic Encounters, Endgame Dungeon (Castle Ravenloft), meaningful day-to-night transitions and more.

Unwanted guests appear in the Forgotten Realms leading adventurers to Madame Eva for a Tarokka Card reading that is unlike any other. The mists of Barovia pull adventurers to the Domains of Dread and into the land of the mighty vampire - Strahd von Zarovich. In the darkest corners of this foreign land, adventurers will find new stories from Quests and Instances; all-new Repeatable Adventures with newly designed Monster Hunts and Heroic Encounters, where the creatures of the mist must be destroyed; and expanded endgame progression with a new Campaign culminating in a journey into Castle Ravenloft itself. Heroes of Neverwinter must work together to free this cursed land from Strahd’s control.
