From coast to coast, players will experience the thrill of a huge, varied and action-packed open world USA completely reshaped for motorsports. In The Crew 2, drivers will explore America and compete to be a champion of Motornation by collecting a wide variety of exotic cars, bikes, boats and planes and dominating the motorsports scene on the land, on the water and in the air. They will find challenges and inspiration among four different motorsports families: street racing, off-road, pro-racing and freestyle, and are a given a deep set of options among a wide selection of vehicle types.

For the first time ever, The Crew 2 offers the Fast Fav feature, giving players the ability to seamlessly switch between their favorite ground, water and air vehicles with the push of a button. Players can race full throttle off the Golden Gate Bridge and transform instantly into a speedboat as they hit the Bay, catch a huge wave and seamlessly transition into a stunt plane and fly away into the sunset. Players enjoy total freedom to ride any way they want in the familiar landscapes of The Crew 2’s vast open world.

For those who prefer the thrill of the race, players will also put their racing skills to the test in the widest range of competitive disciplines. In addition to previously announced street racing, powerboat racing, aerobatics, jetsprint and rally raid, three more disciplines are being introduced this week at Gamescom. Drift will have street racing fans burn rubber and take every curve in style to score points with every glorious slide, while the Alpha Grand Prix single-seater is tailored for the pro-racers in search of the perfect line. Carved in the heart of nature, a Motocross muddy track is waiting for off-road specialists to master the dirt and own every bump.

Ubisoft revealed the post-launch plan for its upcoming open-world racing game The Crew 2. The release of the game is only the beginning of the journey for all motorsports addicts, as the development team will introduce ample new content through regular updates. Ubisoft also unveiled The Crew 2 Season Pass, which will be available to purchase from June 29 at the price of $39.99 and will be included in the game’s Gold Edition and Motor Edition.

Major free updates will occur every three months to expand the game’s experience, enrich its world and bring new disciplines, modes and features. The game’s first update, Gator Rush, will be released September 2018 and will let players enjoy a tropical cocktail of bouncy fun and wacky races on all kinds of surfaces and playgrounds, mastering a new and exotic discipline: the Hovercraft. This free update will also introduce five completely new vehicles to the line-up, as well as the new “Legendary” rarity level on performance parts that players will be able to collect in game. In addition to major updates, two new vehicles will be added to the existing line up each month.

More exciting new vehicles and game modes are being announced, including a brand new PvP mode planned for  the second major free update, to be released this December.

Our post launch vision for the game revolves around three key pillars: Polish, Densification and Novelty. The first – Polish – is integral to all live games and involves continuously refining and improving the game in any way we can.

The Crew 2 already offers a varied range of activities across all four Families, fourteen Disciplines, and plethora of open world challenges. Naturally though, we always want more of what we enjoy the most. Densification therefore allows us to ensure that players always have a wide selection of their favorite activities, by regularly adding new events, skills, vehicles and much more to existing Disciplines and features.

Last but certainly not least comes Novelty, which is the addition of brand new features to the game. These can range from new Disciplines, such as Hovercraft in September’s Gator Rush update, to whole new game modes such as the hotly anticipated PVP Lobbies in December. These additions are much larger in scope than those added for Densification purposes, and consequently take more time to develop and test.

These three pillars tie in to our desire to provide the very best possible experience for all our players; we want to ensure that The Crew® 2 runs smoothly and that nothing gets in the way of your enjoyment of the game. Among other things, this means checking that planned content and features all work exactly as intended before adding them to the game.

For instance, the PVP Lobbies that we originally planned for launch still require some polish before they’re ready. As Sofiane explained in the video above, we’ll be adding them in December 2018. On June 29th you’ll enjoy the full co-op experience, as well as global and focused leaderboards to compete against friend or foe for the top spot in all events and skills.

You – the community – play a leading role in the post launch plans and test process, and to this end hundreds of players have already participated in Technical Tests. They have been a huge part of bringing The Crew® 2 to life, and we will definitely maintain this dynamic moving forward.

The Crew 2 allows players, solo or with friends, to fully express their creativity and skills, sharing unique moments of fun and extreme sensations. On their way to becoming the greatest motorsport champion, players will be able to track their actions and spot every wow moment of their journey. With LIVE Replay, The Crew 2 provides them with a light and user-friendly tool that will automatically record every glorious feat into a fully staged video clip to share with the world or to brag with their friends.

Across the country, players will meet four different motorsports families: street racers, pro racers, off-road experts and freestylers, each with their own culture and set of disciplines. Each family has a unique HQ, where players can meet, buy, collect and customize vehicles. Through competitions and chance encounters, players will find and hone their personal style, collect and customize dream rides, show them off and make their mark on the US motorsports scene.

Players can start their The Crew 2 vehicle collection right now with The Crew Rewards Program. By completing a series of monthly challenges in the first installment of The Crew, they can unlock up to 18 vehicles in The Crew 2, including exclusive air and water vehicles.  

The Crew 2 will launch on June 29, 2018, for PS4, Xbox One and PC.
