'Tera' (ALL) Phantom's Keep Update Will Revamp Dungeons On PC, Launch Guardian Legion Event

by Rainier on July 4, 2018 @ 12:00 a.m. PDT

TERA is an MMORPG where you battle epic wars, protect your kingdom from demise, and brings you thrills never experienced before in traditional MMOs with its action-filled gameplay and riveting visuals.

TERA brings true action combat into a high fantasy MMORPG setting. Players explore a vast world where their combat skills are put to the test against deadly Big Ass Monsters (BAMs). They’ll need to actively dodge out of the way of incoming attacks, study enemy attack patterns, and execute precise skill combos to take them down! You will have full control over the attacks and the fate of your enemy. No more "pointing and clicking" and playing combat relay with the enemies. Furthermore, not only do you control the action, TERA is also set in a world where the players will dictate the flow of the economy and individually impact the community environment.

In TERA, players master their destiny in a richly detailed game world with a pioneering dynamic combat system. Individual player actions can transform the balance of power in a world where old rivalries are erased, and disparate races must form a common federation to stave off destruction by marauding monsters and warring gods.

You become part of the realm of Arborea, created by the Ancient Gods. You defend your race in a fantasy world where your creators, descendents of the Ancient Gods, have warred upon each other centuries ago. Join forces and become part of a vast world in constant conflict, where new battles and weaponry skills will leave you grasping for more as you become immersed in the realm of Arborea. Take charge and become the hero the world seeks!

With a character type to match nearly every play style and innumerable customization options, TERA gives every player a gameplay experience that is uniquely their own. Quest solo, bring your friends, or make new ones…the world of TERA awaits.

En Masse Entertainment announced that the free Phantom’s Keep update will be coming to TERA on PC starting July 12, heralds the return of two popular dungeons and some spooky loot.

Following some time out of the spotlight for revisions, the always popular Dreadspire dungeon returns to TERA with 10 challenges to test players’ skill, ingenuity, and endurance as they climb the floors of the towering dungeon. Each floor presents its own challenges and deadly bosses, rewarding dedicated groups who ascend to the highest level with a chance to earn cosmetic Phantom Armor. Phantom’s Keep also includes the return of the Manglemire dungeon deep in the heart of Pora Elinu, where groups can once again engage in a battle of wits with the trick-prone mad cyclops Manglemore.

The open world Guardian Legion events in TERA are set to expand, adding a Dragon Hunt event. As with other Guardian Legion missions, players can freely participate without the need to queue or group up with others, simply show up and start fighting! The hunt respawns every hour, and players participate as with other Guardian Legion missions. Bigger and stronger monsters appear, depending on what other monsters are currently in play.
