'Luigi's Mansion' (ALL) Gets 3DS Date

by Rainier on Aug. 21, 2018 @ 2:21 a.m. PDT

Get spooked with your old friend, Luigi, as he navigates his way through the creepy nooks and crannies of Luigi's Mansion.

The fun begins on a proverbial dark and stormy night, as Luigi investigates a mysterious mansion he's inherited. Instead of a relaxing retreat, he finds a host of howling spirits. Our hero ventures through countless rooms filled with side-splitting spooks, trying to vacuum up the ghoulish ghosts to clean the house of its unwelcome visitors. With the help of a new doctor friend, Luigi must capture ghosts and turn them into paintings. Throughout the adventure, players watch Luigi creep, cower and cry in fright as the roaming spirits try to scare him out of his wits.

This one-player action adventure was the first title to star Mario's younger brother Luigi, a beloved character who has made appearances in Nintendo video games since 1993.

This is the first time the Nintendo GameCube classic can be played on the go. This updated version of the game includes the same classic adventure, but with some added features perfect for Nintendo’s popular portable systems. Using the bottom touch screen on the Nintendo 3DS family of systems, players can view the mansion map.

In the new Gallery Battle Mode, exclusive to the Nintendo 3DS version of the game, Luigi will have the ability to re-challenge boss ghosts that were defeated in the game.

Luigi’s Mansion launches exclusively for the Nintendo 3DS family of systems later on October 12, 2018 for $39.99.
