'PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds' (ALL) 2019 PUBG Global Championship Details

by Rainier on Oct. 17, 2019 @ 9:07 a.m. PDT

PUBG: Battlegrounds expands the core Battle Royale experience into a highly competitive player vs. player (PvP) game in a vivid open world.

Welcome to the ultimate battle for life and death

PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds will expand the core Battle Royale experience enjoyed by millions of players into a highly competitive player vs. player (PvP) game in a dynamic open world. PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds will put up to 64 players on a remote island for a winner-takes-all showdown where strategic gameplay is as important as shooting skills. Players will enter a last-man-standing battle where they try to locate weapons, vehicles and supplies in a graphically and tactically rich battleground that eventually forces players into a shrinking safe area as they engage in a tense and spectacular fight to the death.

When the match starts, players have no items or weapons. To progress, they can try to commandeer a vehicle to discover a high-value location, search for weapons or employ other diversified tactics with a goal of being the last man standing. All weapons can be upgraded with attachments such as sights and suppressors and both road and off-road vehicles will be available to players.

Kill or be killed in a fight to be the last man standing.

PGC will take place across three weekends, starting with a Group Stage (Nov. 8-10) and Semifinals (Nov. 15-17) held at the OGN Super Arena in Manhattan Beach, CA. The competition concludes with the Grand Finals (Nov. 23-24) in Oakland, CA as the top teams face-off at the Oakland Arena for a piece of the guaranteed $2 million USD prize pool and a chance to be crowned the 2019 PUBG Global Champions.

Starting Nov. 5, fans will be able to gear up and celebrate PGC by purchasing an exciting array of exclusive in-game items, with 25% of net proceeds from total item sales being added to the overall PGC prize pool of $2 million USD. An additional 25% of item sale revenue will be awarded to participating teams via the PGC ‘Pick’Em Challenge’ Event. Every PGC item purchase will grant entry to the event, where fans will have the opportunity to predict the winning team.
