'Mortal Kombat 11' (ALL) Free Holiday Themed In-Game Events Next Week

Mortal Kombat 11 deepens and personalizes the experience unlike ever before with an all new Custom Character Variation System that gives players the creative control of building customized versions of the character roster.

In addition to featuring a roster of new and returning Klassic Fighters, Mortal Kombat 11 will introduce a new cinematic story mode that continues the epic saga that is more than 25 years in the making.

The new graphics engine showcasing every skull-shattering, eye-popping moment, brings you so close to the fight you can feel it.

The growing roster of confirmed playable fighters in Mortal Kombat 11 includes Scorpion, Raiden, Sub-Zero, Sonya Blade, Skarlet, Baraka, Geras, Kano, D'Vorah, Kabal, Jade, Johnny Cage, Cassie Cage, Erron Black, Jacqui Briggs, Kotal Kahn, Noob Saibot, Liu Kang, Kung Lao, Jax Briggs, Cetrion, The Kollector and Kitana, with more exciting reveals coming in the weeks ahead.


A new holiday themed, in-game events coming to Mortal Kombat 11 this winter season. The Winter Wonderland (Dec. 22-27) and Ring in the New Year (Dec. 28 through Jan. 2) Tower events within the Towers of Time mode will be available as free content updates for all Mortal Kombat 11 owners. Both events will feature an array of celebratory modifiers, while allowing fighters to earn character skins, player module pieces, holiday-specific konsumables and other in-game rewards.

More information on the free content updates coming to Mortal Kombat 11 this holiday season can be found below:

  • Winter Wonderland Tower event (available Dec. 22-27) will feature three Towers with holiday-themed modifiers in the form of falling Killer Kanes, Sledding Tarkatans, Parachuting Ginger Deadmen, Exploding Snowmen, Christmas Trees, Menorahs, Dreidels and Shooting Stars.
  • Ring in the New Year Tower event (available Dec. 28 through Jan. 2) will feature three Towers allowing players to usher in the new decade with party-themed modifiers, including a Disco Ball, Champagne Bottles, Party Poppers, Fireworks and a Digital Countdown Clock to ring in the new year.
  • Kombat League, the seasonal ranked mode in Mortal Kombat 11, is currently in its sixth season, ‘Season of Konquest,’ and available now for all players to participate in until Jan. 7. The next season of Kombat League is set to begin on Jan. 14.

Players can also jump into the fight this holiday season with the Mortal Kombat 11 Kombat Pack, the best way to upgrade the Mortal Kombat 11 game experience with new downloadable content (DLC) featuring six characters, numerous skin and gear sets and one-week early access for all content.

The new characters coming to Mortal Kombat 11 via the Kombat Pack include The Joker (Jan. 28 early access) and Spawn (March 17 early access), along with the iconic Terminator T-800 (available now), Sindel (available now), Nightwolf (available now) and Shang Tsung (available now). Players can purchase the Kombat Pack as part of the Mortal Kombat 11 Premium Edition for $89.99 (SRP) or individually for $39.99 (SRP). All DLC characters and bonus character skins will be available for individual purchase after the one-week early access period.
