Dragon Quest XI S: Echoes of an Elusive Age continues the gameplay of previous games in the series, in which players explore worlds and fight against various monsters, including the ability to explore high areas.

In Dragon Quest XI, longtime fans and new players alike can experience the captivating tale of a hunted hero as he travels on a journey with an endearing cast of loyal companions to unravel the mystery of his fate.

From the reliable partner-in-crime Erik to the fearless young mage Veronica, along with the laid-back healer Serena, entertainer extraordinaire Sylvando, noble martial artist Jade, and mysterious old man Rab—together, they join the hero on a grand adventure through the world of Erdrea.

As the eleventh mainline entry in the critically acclaimed series from series creator Yuji Horii, character designer Akira Toriyama, and series composer Koichi Sugiyama., Dragon Quest XI is a completely standalone experience that features entirely new characters, a beautifully detailed world, finely tuned turn-based combat, and an immersive story that will appeal to longtime fans and franchise newcomers alike.

Ready for a grand adventure filled with memorable characters, an enchanting story and classic RPG gameplay that can be taken on the go?

This enhanced version of the critically acclaimed game features the same sprawling content of the original, but with newly added character-specific stories, the option for increased battle speed, fully orchestrated field and battle music, and the ability to switch between HD and retro-inspired 16-bit visuals.

In addition to delivering over 100 hours of content, the Western release of Dragon Quest XI will also feature several upgrades and enhancements that were not included in the Japanese release, including:

  • English Voiceover
  • Draconian Quest, a hard mode that offers additional challenges for more experienced players.
  • Overhauled Menus & UI, with graphical enhancements and more intuitive navigation.
  • Camera Mode, allowing players to take in views of the beautiful landscape, character renders and ferocious monsters in detail.
  • A New Dash Function and many other system enhancements such as improved character and camera movement

Currently available on PS4 and PC (Steam), Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age launches as Definitive Edition for Nintendo Switch this fall.
