'Gwent: The Witcher Card Game' (ALL) Crimson Curse Pre-order Pack - Trailer

by Rainier on March 18, 2019 @ 2:19 a.m. PDT

Gwent: The Witcher Card Game is a free-to-play card game that puts you, not your cards, in the center of the action.

In Gwent, gamers clash with their friends in fast-paced duels that combine bluffing, on-the-fly decision making and careful deck construction.

Gwent: The Witcher Card Game is played over a best-of-three series of rounds, as players unleash their hand by slinging spells and diverse units with special abilities and use clever tricks to deceive their opponents.

Dettlaff van der Eretein, the mighty higher vampire gamers first met in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt — Blood and Wine, is summoning his kin. As the Moon over the Witcher world turns red, new breeds of monsters awake, new villains emerge, and new heroes rise to answer the call.

Along with a multitude of new tools for waging war, Crimson Curse introduces over 100 cards across all of Gwents playable factions. Players will be able to afflict the enemy with Poison and Bleeding, use Shield and Vitality to defend against incoming damage, as well as attempt to turn the tide of battle using the Deathblow and Berserk gameplay mechanics.

As always, every card comes in both a standard version and a premium animated variant — one of the hallmark features of Gwent’s presentation.

In addition to exploring the dark lore of Crimson Curse, the trailer offers gamers their first in-action look at some of the new cards, abilities, and mechanics coming to GWENT when the expansion releases later this month.

Leading up to the game’s release, gamers can also purchase the Crimson Curse Pre-order Pack. The offer is available until March 28th. Its contents include: the legendary Blood Armor leader skin for Unseen Elder, Crimson Curse-themed cardback, as well as 40 Crimson Curse Kegs. Each keg contains 5 cards exclusively from the expansion.

Crimson Curse is coming to Gwent for PC, PS4 and Xbox One on March 28th, 2019.

Gwent: The Witcher Card Game is currently avalable on PS4, Xbox One and PC.
