'Mortal Kombat 11' (ALL) Reveals Noob Saibot and Shang Tsung As Latest Playable Characters - Trailer

by Rainier on March 22, 2019 @ 12:47 p.m. PDT

Mortal Kombat 11 deepens and personalizes the experience unlike ever before with an all new Custom Character Variation System that gives players the creative control of building customized versions of the character roster.

In addition to featuring a roster of new and returning Klassic Fighters, Mortal Kombat 11 will introduce a new cinematic story mode that continues the epic saga that is more than 25 years in the making.

The new graphics engine showcasing every skull-shattering, eye-popping moment, brings you so close to the fight you can feel it.

The growing roster of confirmed playable fighters in Mortal Kombat 11 includes Scorpion, Raiden, Sub-Zero, Sonya Blade, Skarlet, Baraka, Geras, Kano, D'Vorah, Kabal, Jade, Johnny Cage, Cassie Cage, Erron Black, Jacqui Briggs and Kotal Kahn, with more exciting reveals coming in the weeks ahead.

Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and NetherRealm Studios revealed a new Mortal Kombat 11 gameplay trailer featuring returning fan-favorite character, Noob Saibot, showcased during the official Mortal Kombat 11 Chicago Comic & Entertainment Expo (C2E2) panel.

Also announced was Shang Tsung, the first downloadable content (DLC) character revealed for Mortal Kombat 11. Actor Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa will lend his voice and likeness to the iconic character that he portrayed in the classic 1998 Mortal Kombat film.

Noob Saibot, once known by the name Bi-Han, and the original Sub-Zero, he was a cold-blooded assassin, corrupt from years of violence and evil. Murdered by his clan’s enemy, Scorpion, Bi-Han was resurrected as the black-clad wraith, Noob Saibot. Both shadowy and mysterious, his soul was stripped of compassion and remorse, and now he considers himself the perfect warrior using his ninja-like and phantom abilities to carry out his darkest impulses.

Shang Tsung was the host of the first Mortal Kombat tournament and faithful servant to Shao Khan. A powerful, shapeshifting sorcerer, he absorbs living souls to maintain his youthful appearance and command, while morphing into other characters to use his adversaries’ own moves against them in battle. Shang Tsung is one of six playable DLC fighters included in the Kombat Pack, which is part of the Mortal Kombat 11 Premium and Kollector’s Editions.
