by Rainier on March 28, 2019 @ 11:30 a.m. PDT

Bulletstorm: Duke of Switch Edition brings new furor to first-person shooter action with its signature "kill with skill" gameplay, which is packed with blockbuster moments.

Bulletstorm is a blood symphony that combines outrageous gunplay with unique kick, slide and leash mechanics. Players learn to 'kill with skill' as they slaughter waves of mutated enemies to rack up points and unlock weapons.

Step into the boots of Grayson Hunt after a crash landing on an abandoned resort planet forces him to make a hard choice: survival or revenge. An exiled member of the elite assassin group Dead Echo, Grayson’s blind desire for vengeance finds his crew stranded on Stygia where he can finally confront the commander behind his betrayal—or get his team off the planet alive. Battle your way through throngs of Stygia’s mutated inhabitants, performing masterful kills throughout the single-player campaign—or one of 30 competitive score-challenge or 12 co-operative multiplayer maps—using Bulletstorm: Full Clip Edition’s unique “Skillshot” system that rewards you for executing the most creative and deadly kills imaginable.

Updated with hi-res textures, increased polygon counts, sterling audio, and smoother frame rates, this version of Bulletstorm comes with all of the previously-released add-ons along with all-new content.

Bulletstorm was a dream come true for Polish developers from People Can Fly. Their crazy ideas were fully materialized in this violent and outrageous shooter which was praised by gamers around the globe for its humor and mechanics. Now it's time to Switch things up as Bulletstorm: Duke of Switch Edition will come to Nintendo Switch this summer!

The most ambitious project to date from the minds behind Painkiller and Gears of War: Judgment is bound to arrive on a revolutionary gaming platform that allows players to play their favorite games whenever, wherever and however they like. Accompany Grayson Hunt on a quest for revenge on your home TV with the highest possible graphical fidelity or let him join you on the go while you're traveling by bus, by train or just sitting on a bench in a park. Why wait to come home, if you can waste some mutant butts and figure our creative skillshots on the go, eh?

"Since the first reveal, when I saw the capabilities of the latest Nintendo console, I knew that we need to get Bulletstorm working on that thing!," said People Can Fly’s CEO Sebastian Wojciechowski. "The whole team was super pumped up on doing that – he adds. The game will include the whole single-player experience in addition with all the DLC released. Yes – Duke’s coming too, and he’ll kick some ass and chew bubblegum as expected!"

Bulletstorm ships with three game modes: the pulp sci-fi, single-player campaign; Anarchy multiplayer mode; and Echo mode, a unique experience that tracks and compares players’ scores while they play through locations found in the campaign. The Bulletstorm demo introduces a slice of Echo mode in which players traverse a collapsed building on the deadly paradise planet Stygia as ex-Dead Echo leader Grayson Hunt. Players will utilize the “Skillshot” system in Bulletstorm as they crush enemies in increasingly creative ways to rack up points using an arsenal of powerful weapons, from a futuristic assault rifle called the Peace Maker Carbine, to the Flail Gun, which fires two grenades linked by a chain, and the Screamer, a powerful revolver that turns enemies into human fireworks.

From highest score to total number of skillshots performed, players can compete with their friends for bragging rights in Echo mode as they decimate enemies with over-the-top combat moves using some of the most innovative weapons ever seen in a first-person shooter. With more than 45 skillshots in the demo, players are encouraged to “Kill with Skill” in Bulletstorm, finding stylish and ever imaginative ways to take down anyone that stands in their way. The Bulletstorm demo also allows players to unlock platform-specific upgrades* to use in the game’s Anarchy mode, from the Crimson Leash to Stealth Armor, when they purchase the full game.
