'Signs of the Sojourner' Announced - Screens & Trailer

by Rainier on May 16, 2019 @ 10:54 p.m. PDT

Signs Of The Sojourner is a narrative based deck-building game uniquely combining themes of communication, relationships and personal choice with sleek card game mechanics.

Players will travel around a diverse, detailed world to collect cards, and then use them to communicate with those around them, all set with a backdrop of a beautiful, color-filled landscape.

The ways in which you develop your deck, and thus your character, will determine how well you can communicate and connect with characters from different backgrounds and regions.

As your relationships grow, you'll become involved in the lives and struggles of characters at home and abroad, all communicated via a unique card game experience.

As you explore the world your experiences will change you. How will you grow? What will you leave behind? Who will you become?

Creative Director, Dyala Kattan-Wright said: "The original pitch was 'a deck-building game where your deck is a metaphor for the type of person you are.' Who hasn't drawn a bad hand during a conversation with a joke that didn't land or a miscommunicated thought? We combined this idea with our desire to tell stories about travel and diverse communities, about finding a home and connecting. We hope Signs of the Sojourner is a type of game that players haven't seen before but an experience that they can relate to."

Players who sign up to the Discord will gain immediate access to their free alpha build - starting today.
