'Truck Driver' (ALL) Gets Nintendo Switch Release Date - Trailer

by Rainier on Oct. 20, 2020 @ 8:59 a.m. PDT

In Truck Driver you must build your career and become the most respected trucker around!

Climb in your cabin, rev up your engine and hit the road in Truck Driver!

Fuel up and cruise through a vast open world in one of the most beautiful machines known to man. Start off as a contractor and work your way up by taking on jobs, earning money and making a name for yourself amongst the local community. Buy your own trucks, get new parts and hurtle down the roads! Do you have what it takes to become a respected Truck Driver?

Unlike any other trucking experience, Truck Driver is completely focused on the career mode. By valuing the ‘game’ aspects over the ‘simulation’ aspects, SOEDESCO aspires to bring the fun-factor back into the trucking genre.

The trucking experience released on PS4 and Xbox One last year and has since received several significant updates. The Nintendo Switch version will come with these improvements, as well as Nintendo specific features, including tilt controls and HD Rumble support.

The trailer shows 10 minutes of gameplay in which various landscapes, characters, missions and truck customizations can be seen. The trucking experience comes both digitally and physically and is fully optimized for Nintendo Switch, supporting solo horizontal Joy-Con grip, tilt controls, HD Rumble and touch screen.

Since the game released on PS4 and Xbox One in September last year, Truck Driver received a new photo mode, rain effects on windshields, wipers, and several updates that improve the overall player experience of the game. Currently, Truck Driver is getting a Unity engine upgrade, which will result in smoother frame rates, less stutters and an overall improvement in graphics with better shades and textures. Further improving the game will continue to be a priority for SOEDESCO and development studio Kokku. All the updates will be implemented into the Nintendo Switch version as well, which makes it a great addition to all trucker fans out there who’d like to be a truck driver on the road.

Key Features:

  • Enjoy a trucking experience focused on your career as a truck driver
  • Build stronger relationships with the local community with each job
  • Customize your truck with tons of parts and tune it to your liking
  • Explore a vast open world and watch it progress with you
  • Navigate through beautiful landscapes and fully explorable cities.

Currently available for PS4 and Xbox One, Truck Driver is coming to Nintendo Switch on November 19, 2020, followed by PC (Steam) at a later time.
