'NBA 2K20' (ALL) MyTEAM Unlimited $250,000 Tournament Finals Tonight

by Rainier on Feb. 13, 2020 @ 9:00 a.m. PST

NBA 2K20 continues the franchise's tradition as the gold standard of basketball simulation across all platforms with unrivaled realism and true NBA gameplay.

Six-time NBA All-Star, three-time All-NBA First Team, three-time NBA All-Defensive Team and 2012 Olympic gold medalist Anthony Davis returns as cover star for the Standard and Deluxe Editions. Three-time NBA Champion, 13-time NBA All-Star, 2008 Olympic gold medalist and 2006 NBA Finals MVP Dwyane Wade will grace the cover of the Legend Edition.

These iconic players will grace the covers of NBA 2K20, marking the latest edition of the game that has defined basketball culture for over two decades.

NBA 2K20 is Davis’ first solo cover appearance for the franchise after being featured as part of NBA 2K16’s star-studded cover lineup. In another historic first, Dwyane Wade’s appearance on the NBA 2K20 Legend Edition marks the first time “Flash” has been featured on the cover of NBA 2K.

Tonight, 2K is hosting the finals of its second annual NBA 2K20 MyTEAM Unlimited $250,000 Tournament live from Chicago’s Navy Pier ahead of NBA All-Star 2020. The tournament final will be live-streamed tonight on Twitch, Facebook and Twitter at 6:30 p.m. CST and will feature special NBA all-star player appearances alongside the high stakes bout.

Watch the live-stream on Twitch, or see the action posted on NBA 2K’s Facebook and on Twitter.

The final takes place between Christopher Pitts (31; The Klass Guy) of Clementon, NJ and Jomar Varela-Escapa (25; JOMAR-12PR) of Boston, MA. The two finalists emerged as the last two players standing after four months of qualifying games from September to January and a 32-team single-elimination tournament earlier this month. Almost one million contestants entered for a chance to compete for the prize with more than 16 million games played before the qualifying tournament.

The Klass Guy qualified for the single-elimination tournament as the 12th seed in the Xbox One bracket while JOMAR-12PR qualified as the 16th seed in the PlayStation 4 bracket. Both finalists battled through four qualifying matches before being crowned champions of their respective consoles to advance to the final, which will be played on Xbox One.

Both finalists received tickets to the NBA All-Star Game in Chicago and additional prizes, but only the winner of the best-of-three matchup will win the $250,000 grand prize.

NBA 2K20 is currently available worldwide on PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC platforms.
