Annapurna Interactive has entered into a multi-year partnership with prominent independent game studio Simogo to develop and publish games across all platforms.

This partnership is coming off the heels of their successful release of Sayonara Wild Hearts, which became an instant hit following its launch in 2019, winning Apple’s “Apple Arcade Game of the Year” and the D.I.C.E. Awards “Portable Game of The Year,” among several other industry accolades.

“We were fans of Simogo long before we started Annapurna Interactive and working with them has only increased our respect and admiration. We are excited to enter into the next phase of our partnership and explore the amazing experiences we can build together—anything is possible,” said Annapurna Interactive President Nathan Gary.

With an extensive portfolio of critically acclaimed games including Outer Wilds, Kentucky Route Zero: TV Edition, Florence, Gorogoa and What Remains of Edith Finch, Annapurna Interactive is widely recognized for working with independent developers from around the world to create personal and emotional games.

“We’re delighted to formalize our relationship with our friends at Annapurna Interactive, which not only provides our team a great creative sparring partner and the stability needed to create new uncompromising work, but also the opportunity of being part of inspiring endeavors beyond our games,” said Simon Flesser, co-founder of Simogo.

Simogo, the Sweden-based developer behind award-winning games DEVICE 6 and Year Walk, is a renowned studio known for releasing quality games that deliver unique and engaging interactive experiences. This partnership marks a commitment between the two companies to create more innovative and original content for years to come.
