by Rainier on April 17, 2020 @ 8:40 a.m. PDT

Nordic Game has announced the finalists of the Nordic Game Awards 2020, nominating 29 games in nine categories, representing the very best the Nordic region has to offer.

The finalists have been selected by a jury of peers and represent the very best of the region’s game development. The finals will be taking place live on May 28th in Malmö as part of the upcoming online NG20 conference.

The award show is always the highlight of the NG conference, and this year will be no exception. Over the past twelve months, the talent and expertise of the region’s studios has resulted in a string of amazing games. Indeed, the quality of the titles has been so outstanding that the jury – made up of members selected from the Nordic Game Institute - has struggled to whittle down the shortlist. But, having played through all of the games, the members have made their selections in each of the nine categories.

The jury’s nominations for the Nordic Game Awards 2020 finals are:

Nordic Game of the Year nominees:

Nordic Game of the Year – Small Screen nominees:

Best Art nominees:

Best Game Design nominees:

Best Technology nominees:

Best Audio nominees:

Best Fun for Everyone nominees:

The final winners will be announced on May 28th at Nordic Game 2020.
