'Pokémon Masters' (ALL) Content Update Lets You Hatch Eggs, Adds Legendary Pokémon

by Rainier on April 27, 2020 @ 2:03 p.m. PDT

Pokémon Masters EX enables players to experience a new type of Pokémon battling on the go and features many famous Pokémon Trainers from the long history of Pokémon video games.

Pokémon Masters is a strategy and battling game where players form teams of sync pairs (the combination of a Trainer and their partner Pokémon) to engage in 3-on-3 real-time battles against AI opponents. The game takes place in an all-new location, the island of Pasio, where Trainers and their partner Pokémon from every known Pokémon region will gather to compete. Players can still preregister for Pokémon Masters to automatically download the game to their device when it launches later this summer.

Pokémon Masters players now have the ability to obtain Eggs that hatch into one of the three partner Pokémon from the Kanto region: Bulbasaur, Charmander, or Squirtle. Players can then pair their partner Pokémon with the game’s Main Character and battle alongside one another. Pokémon Masters, a real-time battling and strategy game, can be downloaded on compatible iOS and Android devices.

All players will be able to obtain an Egg from Profesor Bellis when they log into the game. Players will be able to choose if they want their Egg to hatch into Bulbasaur, Charmander, or Squirtle. Eggs hatch after players complete a certain number of battles, and they will also be able to choose their own names for these Pokémon. In addition, more Pokémon hatchable from Eggs will be made available in future updates—all of which can be paired with the game’s Main Character to form a sync pair.

DeNA also announced that the following content updates are now available or coming soon to Pokémon Masters:

  • New Legendary Event Featuring Silver & Ho-Oh: The sync pair of Silver & Ho-Oh star in an in-game event titled “Pure Hearts and Rainbow Wings,” which will be available from April 29 at 11:00PM Pacific time until May 13 at 10:59PM Pacific time for those that have completed Chapter 1 of the Main Story. In this event, players will embark on an adventure with Trainers Silver and Ethan of the Johto region to learn more about why Ho-Oh has come to the island of Pasio. Players who complete the Legendary Event will be able to add the sync pair of Silver & Ho-Oh to their teams.
  • Wallace & Milotic Are Coming to Pasio: The Water-type sync pair of Wallace & Milotic will make their debut in the sync pair Spotlight Scout from April 29 at 11:00PM Pacific time  until May 13 at 10:59PM Pacific time.
  • Daily Scout Offers One Attempt to Add Sync Pair and Items Per Day: The Daily Scout feature has been added to the game, where once a day, players can attempt to obtain sync pairs and items without the use of gems.

Players can check the in-game menus for more information. Note that in-game event dates are subject to change without notice.

Pokémon Masters is available worldwide as a free-to-start game with in-app purchases on compatible Android and iOS devices. The game will be available in English, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Spanish, and Traditional Chinese.
