'Population Zero' Details Updates And Future Plans

by Rainier on May 14, 2020 @ 8:55 a.m. PDT

Population Zero is a distinctive blend of survival and MMO set on the planet Kepler, an alien world far on the periphery of mankind’s own knowledge.

With hundreds of players on a single server, real meaningful character progression, an in-depth narrative, and a rich vibrant and changing world driven by the players’ actions, Population Zero will raise the bar for what it means to be a multiplayer survival experience.

Population Zero is a distinctive blend of survival and MMO set on the planet Kepler, an alien world far on the periphery of mankind’s own knowledge. As with all frontiers, the world will resist those who try to explore it, plumb it for resources, and vie to uncover its secrets. The creatures that inhabit Kepler will become for the player not just a source of valuable resources, but clever and skillful enemies, each of which is unique in its behavior and abilities and has its own role in the ecosystem of the planet.

Research a plethora of technologies to drive you and your faction’s fortunes higher. Uncover a deeply shrouded mystery of the world before you arrived. Develop your character to be unique among the thousands, in a world where the actions you take drive your progress in a multitude of skills. Population Zero is a survival game unlike any other, an MMO different from those before it, and an experience that will bring friends closer together over the shared goal of exploring and conquering the new frontier.

Enplex Games continues to follow the May Road Map we published shortly after the launch of Early Access.

The first major update was applied last Friday, May 8, and today the developers have released the second patch that is bringing a number of gameplay, visual and performance improvements as well as several bug fixes.

The new patch is addressing three popular gameplay requests:

  • You will now find more stones and boulders in the Hub vicinity. So, gather, craft, rock’n roll!
  • we also increased the number of areas in Red Mosses where you can find those darn Void samples!
  • Many of you have experienced difficulties with the Gas Collector in the later quest called "Steps toward Rescue: Toxic Gas". We have changed how the Gas Collector device operates

The new patch includes other improvements and fixes that make the game play, run and look better.

Key Features:

  • Action-based PVP and PVE MMO with exploration and discovery at its core
  • A deep character building RPG system with loads of player choice
  • In-depth crafting, tech trees, and building systems
  • A perk system that gives player agency to create the character and skills they want
  • 2 Factions that a player can switch between by completing quests, these also affect the player's physical biology
  • Explore Kepler, teeming with life you can hunt, adapt to, or befriend

Population Zero is available through Steam Early Access at $29.99 USD with a 17% discount for the duration of Early Access.
