Honey, I Joined A Cult is a resource management strategy game where you create and manage your own 1970s Cult whilst listening to funky music.

Honey, I Joined a Cult puts players in charge of creating, operating, and growing a cult in the funky 1970s, from choosing the organisation’s symbols, relics, and merchandise, to recruiting new acolytes and deciding where the toilets should be at the compound.

Build and expand your base, manage your resources and make as much money out of your followers as possible.

As players will discover, successful cults take hard work; in addition to establishing and evolving the organisation, the leader’s ego must also be kept in check. And of course, not everybody is going to agree with the newly founded group; players will have to deal with rival cults, nosey investigative journalists, and even the government in their ultimate mission to convert the masses to their cause.

“We’re thrilled to be partnering with Team17 on the development of Honey, I Joined a Cult. We’re very aware of the company’s track record with indie titles, and we know that we’re in safe hands. Honey I Joined a Cult is our debut title as a studio, and we’re looking forward to gamers getting their 70s funk on as they become supreme cult leaders,” said Sole Survivor Games Co-Founder Simon Reynolds.

“No coercion or powers of suggestion were needed when the decision was made to sign Honey, I Joined a Cult. It has an incredibly intriguing theme, unique concept, and strong sense of humour that meant we were on board immediately,”commented Team17 Head of Publishing Max Everingham.
