Death Stranding follows the story of Sam Porter (Norman Reedus), who must travel across a ravaged wasteland and save humanity from impending annihilation after mysterious explosions set off a series of supernatural events and otherworldly creatures begin to plague the landscape.

In the near future, mysterious explosions have rocked the planet, setting off a series of supernatural events known as the Death Stranding. With spectral creatures plaguing the landscape, and the planet on the verge of a mass extinction, it’s up to Sam Bridges to journey across the ravaged wasteland and save mankind from impending annihilation.

Death Stranding stars Norman Reedus (The Walking Dead), Mads Mikkelsen (Rogue One: A Star Wars Story), Léa Seydoux (Spectre) and Lindsay Wagner, with additional appearances by Academy Award  winning director Guillermo del Toro (The Shape of Water), comedian and television host Conan O’Brien (TBS’ Conan) and games personality Geoff Keighley, creator of The Game Awards.

Death Stranding for PC is receiving an injection of Half-Life related content, offering surreal crossover missions with Valve’s Half-Life universe. A familiar face has crossed over into the world of Death Stranding, impersonating Bridges’ employees and sending request emails prompting Sam to locate and secure companion cubes throughout the world. Completing these requests will reveal the mystery behind the friendly imposter and award Sam with useful new equipment and accessories.

This launch will add features to Death Stranding including photo mode, high frame rate and ultra-wide monitor support for an enhanced experience for PC players.

Pre-orders for Death Stranding on PC are now available, with a base price of $59.99. All players who pre-order Death Stranding on PC will receive unique content including HD wallpapers and gold and additional cosmetic items.

In addition to the base game, 505 Games’ offering also includes a selection from “The Art of Death Stranding” digital book (by Titan Books), the Death Stranding Original Score Expanded Edition digital soundtrack – which contains the award-winning score by Ludvig Forssell (published by Sony Music) as well as bonus unreleased tracks – and additional cosmetic items such as a Chiral Gold and Omnireflector coloured Bridges Cap and Ludens Mask sunglasses, a Gold and Silver Armor Plate and Gold and Silver Power, Speed and All-Terrain Skeletons. The Day 1 physical edition, which retails for $69.99, comes with all of the same content as well as a Steelbook slip case and new Steelbook artwork.

Currently available on PS4, Death Stranding is coming to PC through both Steam and Epic Games Store on July 14, 2020.
