Head to the depths of secret facilities, flee through dense forests, and explore a world they don’t want you to know in this all-new story-driven horror game. Set across four story chapters, My Beautiful Paper Smile is lovingly handcrafted, from the art style to the story and level design. 

My Beautiful Paper Smile follows one of the Joyous, forever-smiling, masked children raised knowing nothing but the struggle to become Perfect. They strive to survive within the research facility they live in, under the scrutiny of the Authorities and where failure means being led away to a “session”, never to be seen again.

Among countless barred passages, omni-present watchers, and countless smiles, hope comes from a voice beyond. It speaks to one of the Joyous and leads them on a quest through the darkest, most haunted parts of the facility and beyond, to unveil the strange nature of the world. That is, if they can make it out alive.

It has been a month since the successful launch of horror adventure My Beautiful Paper Smile on Steam Early Access.

Players have been nervously exploring the first two chapters of its strange monochrome world and slowly piecing together its mysteries, but the truth remains just out of reach. For those players, Developer Two Star Games and V Publishing are happy to reveal the development roadmap for the game.

We’ll be releasing periodic patches to address smaller issues and bugs with the game, but will also be making a couple of larger updates to mark major milestones in its development. The biggest changes in these updates will be the addition of the last two chapters, but along with the updates for each chapter, we’ll be adding some other features and improvements as well.

The first major update will be the Chapter 3 Update, coming in Late 2020!

Here’s a list of the main things to look forward to in this update:

• The complete third chapter (hence why this is titled the “Chapter 3 Update”)
• Support for multiple new languages
• (Hopefully) Controller support

The next major update will be when we transition from Early Access and will be our Full Launch Update, coming by Summer 2021!

Here’s what we have planned for the full launch:

• The fourth and final chapter of the game
• A total of 12 supported languages
• Mac port
• Controller support (for sure this time)
• As many bug fixes as are humanly possible

Between these two major milestones, bugs will be fixed and the experience fine-tuned - Two Star Games and V Publishing aim to deliver a pristine package of frightful sights in mid 2021.
