'Warhammer 40,000: Darktide' (ALL) Announced - Screens & Trailer

by Rainier on July 23, 2020 @ 3:58 p.m. PDT

Warhammer 40,000: Darktide is a four-player co-op game set in the 41st Millennium, taking you deep into the hive city and facing hordes of enemies you have only seen in your nightmares.

Fight together with your friends against hordes of enemies in this new Warhammer 40,000 experience.

In the depths of the hive, the seeds of corruption threaten an overwhelming tide of darkness. A heretical cult known as the Admonition seeks to seize control of the planet Atoma Prime and lay waste to its inhabitants. It is up to you and your allies in the Inquisition to root out the enemy before the city succumbs to Chaos.

Players will not be able to hide behind lethal ranged weapons, they'll need to combine both FPS and melee skills as they get up close and personal in visceral clashes between Imperium and Chaos factions. Warhammer 40,000: Darktide will bring everything you have come to expect from the developers of the multimillion selling award-winning Warhammer: Vermintide franchise.

"I am happy to announce Warhammer 40,000: Darktide to the gaming world today. We are utilizing the knowledge and experience honed from the Vermintide franchise in this new take on the 40,000 universe." says Martin Wahlund, CEO Fatshark. "We are bringing the four player CO-OP experience to a new setting, and we can’t wait to share the game with everybody in 2021."

Warhammer 40,000: Darktide will be coming to PC (Steam) and Xbox Series X in 2021.
