'Hitman III' (ALL) Gets Release Date, Deluxe Edition, Pre-Order Bonus, Free Next-Gen Upgrade

by Rainier on Aug. 27, 2020 @ 8:00 p.m. PDT

Hitman World Of Assassination is the dramatic conclusion to the World of Assassination trilogy, taking players around the world on a globetrotting adventure to sprawling sandbox locations, with Agent 47 returning for the most important contracts of his career.

Supported by his Agency handler, Diana Burnwood, Agent 47 joins forces with his long-lost friend Lucas Grey. Their ultimate mission is to eliminate the partners of Providence, but they are forced to adapt as their hunt intensifies. When the dust settles, 47 and the world he inhabits will never be the same again.

Featuring six meticulously detailed locations packed full of creative opportunities, Hitman III gives players the unrivaled freedom to complete their objectives in a game world that reacts to everything they do. All of this is made possible by IOI’s award-winning Glacier technology, which powers Hitman III’s immersive game world to offer unparalleled player choice and replayability.

Hitman III will act as a platform for the entire trilogy, making it possible for players to import locations that they own from previous HITMAN games and play all 20+ locations from the trilogy in one place. Hitman II players will also have the option to carry over their hard-earned unlocks and progression into Hitman III.

Hitman III will be released for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X, Xbox One, Stadia and PC (via Epic Games Store) on 20th January 2021.

We’re creating two editions of Hitman III; The Standard Edition and the Deluxe Edition.

  • The Standard Edition includes the Hitman III base game. Nice and simple.
  • The Deluxe Edition includes the Hitman III base game and the Deluxe Pack. Again, nice and simple.

The only difference between the two editions is the Deluxe Pack, which includes Deluxe Escalations, in-game items and suits as well as digital soundtracks and more. This is everything that’s packed into the Hitman III Deluxe Edition.

Pre-order Bonus

The Hitman III pre-order bonus celebrates all three games in the World of Assassination trilogy. Introducing the Trinity Pack. You’ll get it just by pre-ordering the game, no matter what platform or edition.

The Trinity Pack includes a total of 9 items, with 3 distinct sets that represent a different game from the trilogy. Each set includes a suit, briefcase and weapon. From the White of Hitman , the Red of Hitman II or the Black of Hitman III, you’ll have all 9 items in your inventory to mix and match as you like. The classic Hitman insignia is etched onto the items in gold to add an elegant flourish.

Next-gen Upgrade

Yes, we’re doing a next-gen upgrade for consoles and yes, it’s free. Console players can buy (including pre-order) a digital edition of Hitman III on the current generation of platforms and receive a free upgrade to the next-gen version of the game for no additional cost.

To break that down a bit more, here’s how it’ll work: On PlayStation, when you buy a digital PS4 version of Hitman III from the PlayStation Store, you can download the PS5 version at no extra cost when it launches. On Xbox, Hitman III leverages Smart Delivery allowing access to both the Xbox One title and Xbox Series X title when available.

The entire Hitman III campaign will be available to play at launch, including PS VR support.

Hitman III will be releasing on the PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X, Xbox One, Google Stadia and PC (Epic Games Store) in January 20, 2021.
