'Observer: System Redux' (ALL) Also Comes To PC, Demo Available - Trailer

Observer: System Redux is a first person dystopian thriller/horror game that focuses on a dark, atmospheric environment and deep story telling.

The year is 2084.

The future has turned out much darker than anyone could imagine. First, there was the Nanophage. A digital plague that killed thousands upon thousands of those who chose to augment their minds and bodies.

Then came the War, leaving both the West and the East decimated and shattered. With no one left to seize power, corporations took over and forged their own crooked empires.

You are a tool of corporate oppression. Feared and despised, you hack into the darkest corners of your suspects’ minds. You creep into their dreams, expose their fears, and extract whatever your investigation may require.

You are an Observer.

Using a device known as the Dream Eater, hack into the minds of the dead and dying to relive their final moments, to explore their fears and obsessions. Delve into these twisted neural mazes and search for clues that will help you find the elusive killer. But beware: the deeper you go, the greater the risk of losing your own sanity.

Enter a world ravaged by war and cyber-plague, where life is cheap and hope is scarce. Where most people will do anything to escape their grim existence. Virtual realities, mind-altering drugs, neural implants - pick your poison and drift away into a blissful oblivion. But remember, no matter how deep you go, you can never hide from an Observer.

Due to the global pandemic, game development has been facing many challenges in the recent months. Like many other studios, we too had to adapt to the new conditions and reevaluate out resources - all in order to make sure the launch of System Redux for the next-gen consoles is on track.

Today we can confirm that the game is not only on schedule but will also release on PC at the same time as the console versions!

Also, Observer: System Redux will launch on PC at the same price as the original game - $29.99 or the equivalent in your currency. But if you already own Observer in your Steam library, you will be able to buy System Redux for $5.99 until September 15th, which translates to an 80% discount. You can think of it so that you pay for the new story content only, while getting all other improvements and additions for free. We're also investigating the possibility to offer a similar discount on the next-gen consoles and will update you on the topic in the near future.

Last but not least, Steam users can try out the free demo of System Redux from now until August 30th. We're excited that - at the time of live events getting cancelled - we can offer so many players the chance to taste our next generation vision of Observer.

Bloober Team has rebuilt its cyberpunk thriller, Observer, with augmented visuals, gameplay, and story as Observer: System Redux for next-generation consoles. Considered one of the scariest games currently available, and one the best cyberpunk games coming to next-generation consoles ad PC, System Redux is the definitive vision of this horror tale.

The unique blend of cyberpunk and horror in System Redux features Rutger Hauer in one of his last voice-acting roles (Dan Lazarski/Observer) and the team views the title as a tribute to the late film star. The gamealso stars Polish musician and actor Arkadiusz Jakubik as Janus Jukowski, a veteran struggling with early model cybernetics.

While System Redux is a remaster of the original Observer, it features some completely new, never-seen-before story.

Veteran Observers can dive deeper into this dystopian reality thanks to three brand-new side cases to solve. “Errant Signal”, “Her Fearful Symmetry” and “It Runs in the Family” add another layer of depth to the game’s story while exploring thought-provoking themes of a future that soon might become our present.

On top of that, System Redux offers expanded gameplay, which includes new game mechanics, new secrets to find, redesigned stealth, additional neural interrogations, and quality-of-life improvements made with the help of the Observer community.

Newcomers get the chance to experience one of the most thrilling cyberpunk stories in all its next-gen glory: boasting 4K resolution, upgraded textures, new animations, models and effects, and transformed with jaw-dropping Ray-Tracing and HDR lighting.

Observer: System Redux will be coming to PS5, Xbox Series X and PC (Steam) in time for the 2020 Holiday season for $29.99.
