FIFA 21 is the next installment in the long running soccer/football franchise.

This year, fans of EA Sports FIFA can unlock new innovations powered by PS5 and Xbox Series X. Go from visual to visceral with blazing fast load times, deferred lighting and rendering, enhanced animation technology, off-ball humanisation, and more.

Sense the impact of shots, passes, catches, kicks, tackles, and hits with immersive controller haptics. A new DualSense controller on PS5 with rich and responsive haptic feedback deepens the gameplay experience letting you feel the rhythm of the game in your hands.

Faster load times get you in the game quicker than ever. Never lose focus as stadium environments will load with unprecedented speed, letting you get to the kick-off in seconds.

Next-gen technology creates deeper definition in player physiques, while dynamic lighting accentuates details such as faces, hair, kits, and uniforms to take athletes to a whole new level of realism.

Electronic Arts unveiled the official EA Sports FIFA 21 soundtrack with music from different cultures and sounds that represent global fans from all over the world. Featuring over 100 emerging and renowned artists from 23 different countries across the FIFA 21 and Volta Football soundtracks, FIFA 21 is representing global culture like never before. International headliners such as multi-Grammy Award winning global superstar Dua Lipa, Anitta, Tame Impala, Royal Blood (a FIFA 21 launch exclusive), Glass Animals, Charli XCX, Disclosure and Stormzy, while introducing artists-to-watch that include Alfie Templeman, Oliver Malcolm, Dylan Fraser, Joesef, 박혜진 Park Hye Jin, Priya Ragu, Nnena, Celeste, Madame Gandhi, Chløë Black and more to offer the latest in grime, electronic, and hip-hop.

“At a time when our shared connections mean more than ever, the soundtrack to EA Sports FIFA 21 defines global culture like never before,” said Steve Schnur, President of Music, Electronic Arts. “The days of borders – musically speaking – are gone. Our soundtrack goal is to change the way players around the world hear and experience football and introduce them to new music that will change their lives.”

To bring FIFA 21 players together as one world, fans will be able to listen to the Volta Football Soundtrack while playing other modes, such as FUT and Career, and enable settings to hear both FIFA 21 and Volta Football tracks across all menus. Both the FIFA 21 and Volta Football soundtracks are available today on major streaming platforms including Spotify, Apple and Deezer. Fans can also pre-order FIFA 21 before October 9th and get new FUT Kits designed by Anitta, Rema, Lil Mosey, DAVE and BEAM.

To help celebrate the all-new soundtrack, fans can also experience the first-ever FIFA World Celebration, where more than 40 global artists featured on the FIFA 21 Soundtrack will come together on their respective channels to celebrate the FIFA 21 World Premiere and the upcoming launch of the game. Fans can tune in to see performances from Dua Lipa, Diplo, and Anitta, all taking place on October 1, along with in-game giveaways and more. “Brazil is known worldwide as ‘the land of futebol’. For me, it’s a dream to have ‘Me Gusta’, which combines quintessential Brazilian sounds like Funk, Pagodão and Arrocha, featured on this soundtrack - to be able to bring some of our Brazilian flavor around the world via this incredible game,” said Brazilian pop superstar Anitta.

Bundesliga and Bundesliga 2 will continue to be a fundamental part of the world’s most popular football simulation game in the years ahead, as Electronic Arts and DFL Deutsche Fußball Liga today announced a multi-year partnership renewal.

EA, an official partner of Bundesliga since 1998 and one of the world’s leading video game publishers, will retain the exclusive license rights for match simulation. The extension of the partnership ensures the long-term presence and authentic presentation of the Bundesliga and Bundesliga 2 as well as all clubs, players and the German Supercup in the EA Sports FIFA video game franchise. This creates a huge platform for the Bundesliga to reach fans around the world.

“In a relationship spanning more than 20 years, we have seen the rise and rise of EA Sports FIFA, to it becoming one of the most recognizable brands in the world,” said Robert Klein, CEO of Bundesliga International, a subsidiary of DFL Deutsche Fußball Liga. “Through EA SPORTS FIFA, fans across the globe are connected to the Bundesliga, its world class players and unique clubs. We look forward to working with EA on multiple projects, this season and into the future.”

“Our partnership with Bundesliga further cements EA Sports FIFA as the most authentic, interactive football experience in the world. Only in FIFA 21 can the Bundesliga’s millions of fans play as all 18 clubs, from last year’s champions to newly promoted teams – stepping out in stadia from Paderborns’ Benteler-Arena, to the Stadion an der Alten Försterei in Berlin or even competing in Der Klassiker in front of SIGNAL IDUNA PARK’s yellow wall,” said Nick Wlodyka, Vice President and GM of EA Sports FIFA. “We’re excited to continue to build on our Bundesliga partnership, supporting the ambitious tech capabilities and esports vision of the DFL.“

The partnership between the DFL and EA has constantly evolved in recent years, recently introducing awards such as “Player of the Month”, “Player of the Season”, “Team of the Week” and “Team of the Season”, in addition to joint DFL, club and EA campaigns. These programs have contributed to enormous engaging from players, with matches with Bundesliga clubs played in more than 200 FIFA member countries in FIFA 20.

Another key aspect of the cooperation will be the development of the Virtual Bundesliga (VBL). Since its creation in 2012 the Virtual Bundesliga has grown steadily and now delivers regular and high-production value TV broadcast content throughout the season. With more than 130,000 participants at last count, the single-player competition VBL Open is also the most popular FIFA esports competition of any professional football league. Since 2018-19, there has also been the VBL Club Championship, in which Bundesliga and Bundesliga 2 clubs compete. The two elements of the competition are brought together in the VBL Playoffs and then in the VBL Grand Final. The extension of the partnership provides a long-term commitment to the continuation of the Virtual Bundesliga and confirms the strategic relevance of the esports sector for the DFL.

In addition to the license rights for match simulations, the cooperation with EA also comprises other rights in the field of interactive entertainment products. All licences are considered technology-neutral, global and for implementation in all languages. Other license rights in the field of interactive entertainment products (e.g. manager simulations) are awarded separately by Bundesliga International, the DFL subsidiary in charge of the relevant marketing.

Whether you’re running out of the tunnel in Atlanta or leaping into the stands in Green Bay, hear the spine-tingling roar of the stadium thanks to spatialized audio technology new to Madden that wraps around you for a completely immersive experience.

Real-life athlete data feeds into the Madden animation engine to create fluid, athletic player movement when accelerating, running routes, and changing direction. Enhanced animation technology in FIFA enables you to experience ultra-responsive and realistic player movement.

From adjusting shin pads in the 89th minute to screaming for passes in the endzone, player humanization unlocks the most authentic character behaviours ever seen in sports video games letting you see the detail and feel all the emotion of football at the highest level.

The FIFA 21 Legacy Edition on Nintendo Switch features the latest kits and squad updates for the upcoming season, updated presentation (in-game menus and broadcast overlays), but no new game modes or gameplay innovations.

FIFA 21 will launch worldwide on October 9, 2020 for the PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, PC via Steam and Origin - and will come to Google Stadia this winter.

EA Access and Origin Access Basic members will be able to try the game starting October 1st, and Origin Access Premier members will get full access to play. All Access members will continue to receive on-going benefits in FIFA throughout the season. Fans can also pre-order FIFA 21 to get early access to the game along with other incentives, more info on all the pre-order offers is available here.

You can get your hands on some great content when you pre-order FIFA 21 on PS4, Xbox One, or PC, including a special limited time offer: get one untradeable FIFA 21 Ultimate Team (FUT) Ones to Watch player for your FUT squad when you pre-order the FIFA 21 Ultimate Edition before August 14th.

EA Sports FIFA 21 will offer Dual Entitlement - meaning players can upgrade their copy from PS4 to PS5, or from Xbox One to Xbox Series X at no extra cost. Offer exceptions apply. Physical discs cannot currently be used to upgrade to discless consoles.
