Microsoft's Next Console, Project Scarlett, Unveiled - Trailer

by Rainier on June 9, 2019 @ 10:26 p.m. PDT

Project Scarlett will set a new bar for console power, speed and performance, arriving Holiday 2020 alongside Halo Infinite.

With a custom-designed AMD processor, high bandwidth GDDR6 memory, and a next generation solid state drive (SSD), Project Scarlett will give developers the power they need to bring their creative visions to life.

Thousands of games across four console generations will look and play best on Project Scarlett.

Halo Infinite will launch holiday 2020 alongside Project Scarlett.

During the presentation Scarlett developers claimed that the new console will run on a custom-engineered AMD Zen 2 processor with GDDR6 RAM, making it four times as powerful as Xbox One X, support 8K, Ray Tracing, and run games at 120 FPS in part due to its SSD (solid-state drive that will dual as virtual RAM).
