Capcom's Christian Svensson confirmed that DR2 will support Games for Windows Live, so achievements and multiplayer matchmaking will be included.

Originally planned  for August 31st, Capcom has confirmed that DR2 is now scheduled for September 28, 2010.

During his GDC presentation Capcom lead character artist Izmeth Siddeek revealed that the game could handle 6,000 characters on screen, when multiple players are involved, indicating the game will have multiplayer.

Earlier this year an article in Japanese magazine Famitsu claimed Capcom was working on Dead Rising 2, a sequel to 2006's popular zombie shooter. Capcom has yet to official confirm the development but it seems credence has been given to the rumor as Canadian developer Blue Castle Games revealed that it has been hired by the publisher to work on Dead Rising 2. Blue Castle Games is known for 2K Sports' The Bigs, and is currently also working on MLB Front Office Manager.

Not really a huge surprise, but the latest Famitsu issue confirms that Capcom is working on Dead Rising 2, the sequel to last year's zombie shooter. While there are no specific details available, it seems that last year's surprise hit will remain exclusive to the Xbox 360. Capcom is having its Gamers Day later this week, and we'll report any breaking news.
