Our Cinco de Mayo celebration went well, not that we do anything special apart from having some margaritas, daiquiri, and lots of homemade tacos. Very tasty!
Unfortunately, I mixed up my schedule and missed a chance to go to Pixar and see Toy Story 3, which I had on my calendar as today, but it was yesterday. Totally bummed about that!
Iron Man 2 is opening this week, so Saturday we're heading down to one of the local theaters with a few friends to check it out.

Ahh, it's good to be home again, sleep in our own bed and drive our own car. Always love leaving for vacation, but equally enjoy getting back to our own place.
Apart from a little scare when the check-in terminal and the customer service desk couldn't find my reservation for the flight, the traveling went without a hitch.
We came back just in time, too, because our DVR was 79% filled with recordings. Luckily, quite a few were repeats and double recordings, but once we plopped ourselves on the couch and watched NCIS, Stargate Universe and Human Target, we're back to about 50%.

We made it back home safely from the concert, and it was quite fun. The opening act was Attitude Adjustment, some hardcore/punk band that wasn't very interesting, but Anvil was good! I picked up a new t-shirt and had it signed by the band, which in retrospect is a bit whack. Now I can't wear it since I won't want to wash off the autographs.
Later today, we are finally going to see The Book of Eli and hopefully stop by the Apple store to get my ipod fixed. Listening to the radio sucks.

A jury in the 193rd Civil District Court in Dallas County, Texas, agreed that PopCap breached the contract when it decided to market and sell its games on its own.

If you never heard of Popfly before, fret not, you are not alone. Launched two years ago, Popfly was one of Microsoft's attempts to get into user-generated content. It launched with little public awareness, which is probably what led to the current decision of shutting it down. With XNA on the forefront and more recently its promising Kudo platform, Microsoft did not need an unknown service for aspiring game developers. On August 24, 2009, the Popfly service will be discontinued; all resources will be taken down; and access to account, games and mash-ups will cease.
