Warcraft III Unveilled!

by Rainier on March 28, 2002 @ 5:57 p.m. PST

You want to meet the man behind Vivendi's stunning RTS? Vivendi Universal is to celebrate the June release of the highly anticipated PC version of Blizzard Entertainment's Warcraft III: Reign of Chaos, with a special press day hosted by senior producer Bill Roper.
The event will take place between 12-14:00 on April 24th at London's Covent Garden Hotel, 10 Monmouth Street, London WC2 9BH. Only a limited number of spaces are available, but Bill will be taking any questions regarding Warcraft III and will also be available for a handful of one-to-one sessions. During the two-hour event, he will discuss the latest evolution of the best-selling series and detailing his plans for the future.

Warcraft III: Reign of Chaos is the latest in Blizzard Entertainment's acclaimed series. Already being hailed as the biggest real-time strategy title of the year, Warcraft III casts the player as a Commander of a fantasy army who must seize control of the land of Azeroth. Users select one of four races to lead into battle, choosing Generals to marshal the troops and growing the weaponry available to each via the conquest of Azeroth's kingdoms. Boasting a fantastic new 3D engine to bring Azeroth to vivid life and a wealth of multi-player games, Warcraft III: Reign of Chaos is set to be one of the biggest PC titles of the year.

"We have extremely high hopes for Warcraft III and Blizzard enjoys an unrivalled reputation within the RTS sector, making this a rare opportunity to meet one of the brains behind this successful series," commented Jon Rooke, Senior Product Manager for Vivendi Universal. "Bill is really looking forward to discussing his latest epic, and will be more than happy to offer the press an insight into the world of this most exciting game."
