Brigade E5 is based on an innovative system called SPM (Smart Pause Mode). It successfully blends together advantages of both real-time and turn-based games. One of the title's distinctive features is that it doesn't use action points typical for turn based tactical games. However each action takes various amounts of time depending on character's skill and attributes. As a result behavior of soldiers controlled both by players and AI becomes more natural and diverse. Furthermore players can issue a chain of commands that soldiers will carry out automatically. Such scripts will make the control of the player's party much easier than in other games of the same genre.

Main characters can be chosen from an extensive pool of cutthroat mercenaries, both male and female. Main objective of the game is to survive in the chaos that has enveloped the whole country. The storyline offers the opportunity to experience three different viewpoints. Players will have a chance to fight for either faction of the conflict and even switch side right in the middle of a battle. It is also possible to be independent and achieve your own goals in the global turmoil.

A lot of attention is paid to arms and ammunition. The choice of weapons will satisfy even highly demanding fans. There are more than 100 accurate models of firearms, dozens types of ammunition and grenades, body armor and special equipment. Players will be also able to modify and upgrade weapons by adding various gadgets, sniper scopes, mini grenade launchers, bayonets, etc.).

Brigade E5 features a selection of specially balanced maps for death match (up to 4 players, up to 6 characters per party).

The game is scheduled to be released in Q4 2004.
