Alice in Wonderland (NDS/Wii/PC)

Ten years after falling into Wonderland, the teenage Alice has fallen again. Now fans of this classic tale can join her in video games inspired by the highly anticipated Tim Burton film.

In the games, Alice and friends embark on a journey to save Underland, which has been taken over by the Red Queen's army. Full of imagination, creativity, and good vs. evil, Alice in Wonderland is a fun-filled adventure for everyone. Players explore multiple environments, including the Mushroom Forest and the Red Queen's castle filled with strange doors, passageways, false perspectives, and objects that come to life to enhance the journey.

"As we started developing the games, we wanted to give fans a chance to experience the beauty of Underland and explore this fantastical world," said Craig Relyea, senior vice president of global marketing, Disney Interactive Studios. "We also wanted to give kids a unique experience on the DS so we created two very different games."

Alice in Wonderland introduces fans to an entirely new style of innovative gameplay that will challenge the puzzle solving skills of experienced players, while making the adventures accessible and enjoyable for Underland's newest visitors. Along the way are lessons about the importance of friendships and loyalty, as well as self discovery. A variety of combat, puzzles and exploration will give all audiences something to enjoy and replay. In addition, Underland is famous for its familiar cast of characters and in the games, Disney Interactive Studios developers have followed suit, giving each "cast member" unique abilities to aid player in evading traps and solving puzzles.

The Wii and PC versions also feature an upgradeable combat system, in which players collect "impossible ideas" to unlock Underland's secrets. Players must carefully select the supporting characters and their abilities to defeat the many enemies set forth by the Red Queen and her army of cards.

The DS version introduces a new twist as players control a cast of Alice's diverse and enduring friends to guide her and combat the legions of the Red Queen's army. Creating their own path through Underland using the oraculum map, players lead, protect and help Alice on her quest. The DS version features an innovative art style and unique character abilities similar to those of the Wii and PC versions. Nintendo DSi players will use the system's camera to detect colors mapped to unlockable content when tasks are completed. Also included in the DS version is DGamer, the online community exclusive to Disney gamers on Nintendo DS, allowing players to connect with others and unlock additional items in their DS game.

Alice in Wonderland was developed by France's Etranges Libellules and is rated E 10+.

MLB 10 The Show (PSP/PS2/PS3)

Widely considered the most authentic baseball game available, MLB 10 The Show hurls fans further into the Major Leagues, providing an unrivaled simulation with ultra realistic, broadcast quality gameplay bringing players as close to the action as possible. With exciting new key features and enhancements to the critically acclaimed title, MLB 10 The Show is poised to continue the franchise's reign as the premier MLB licensed game on any platform.

Developed by Sony Computer Entertainment Worldwide Studios, San Diego Studio, this year's title promises to deliver another immersive baseball gaming experience complete with a "Catcher Mode" option leading the new features in "Road to The Show," complete MLB All-Star Break activities including the always popular Home Run Derby, improved online multiplayer, and unmatched stadium realism and ambiance with incredibly detailed graphics and animations that help bring the baseball experience to life.

"As the industry leader, we continue to deliver the richest and most immersive baseball experience available," said Scott A. Steinberg, Vice President, Product Marketing, SCEA. "MLB 10 The Show's new feature set coupled with our team's unsurpassed attention to detail continues to raise to bar for authenticity and true-to-life gameplay. It's a must have for sports fans and an experience only available on PlayStation."

The long awaited Home Run Derby leads the deep features list in MLB 10 The Show for the PS3 system. Fully implemented in the season modes and available as a stand-alone feature, Home Run Derby follows the MLB rules and flow allowing players to see who is the king of the long ball.

The MLB Futures Game will also be available within season modes in its correct time frame (just before the Home Run Derby), as well as fully functional online leagues. The new online season leagues will save and display MLB player stats, track player energy, allow for trades/injuries, and offer 40-man roster functionality.

Additional new features for the PS3 game include "Catcher Mode," where players can be the ultimate field general and have the ability to call the game as the catcher in "Road to The Show" career mode. MLB 10 The Show will also offer daytime transitional lighting, a newly added "Movie Maker" menu giving the user the ability to select multiple replays to add to and edit a single movie, and 11 new stadiums. Five new Minor League parks will be introduced, as well as a selection of classic stadiums available on the PS3 system for the first time including Forbes Field, Crosley Field, Polo Grounds, Shibe Park, Sportsman Park, and Griffith Stadium.

MLB 10 The Show once again raises the overall level of detail and realism from customizable fan chants, to jumbotron animations, to crowd atmosphere. Not to be outdone, stadium ambiance will be improved with the addition of HR/splash counters, fireworks, steam, noisemakers, towels, thunder sticks, crowd reaching over the rails, and crowd detail, such as interaction with vendors and placing Ks.

Online multiplayer has also vastly improved this year to bring more of that competitive fire out amongst friends. First and foremost, the game will detect and respond better to adverse network conditions and bandwidth has been reduced to help the speed and flow of online gameplay. Along with the core online league play, where gamers can customize leagues including choosing players, teams, and length of schedule, MLB 10 The Show will now offer fully functional online season leagues. The new online season leagues will save and display MLB player stats, track player energy, allow for trades/injuries, and offer 40-man roster functionality. Alongside this will be weekly live roster updates, available every week throughout the entire MLB season, tracking roster changes, addition of new MLB players (with correct attributes), and player attribute updates to reflect hot and cold streaks. The Show will offer the ability to view every game you've ever played online, complete with opponents, box scores, and game logs.

The gameplay in The Show has been enhanced considerably with improved logic, animations, and presentations resulting in a wider variety of hit types (including more choppers), ball collision improvements enabling bounces off of any part of the batter's body, comebackers to the mound, ability to rob HRs, and more -- all new aspects of the gameplay that not only look great, but feel right.

The popular "Road to The Show" mode returns to The Show with version 4.0 featuring the addition of two new interactive training modes, new settings, and new presentations. Interactive training will consist of a set of mini-games designed to improve a player's fielding and pitching ability, adding to last year's introduction of batting and base running training. "Franchise Mode" also returns to the game, including the 40-man roster, salary arbitration, waiver transactions and September call-ups.

For fans who want to take The Show on the go, MLB 10 The Show for the PSP and PSPgo systems delivers big baseball action in the palm of your hand by utilizing core gameplay features found on the PS3 system version.

Exclusive for PS2 system is the unrivaled "Player Creator," providing users with endless possibilities for creating players, including everything down to their player's face with EyeToy. Users can also adjust their personal rituals, swings, and even emotions as they create and place themselves in the heat of a pennant race.

Project Runway (Wii)

The Project Runway video game, based on the mega hit TV program, is making its way "from the runway" into retail stores.

A must-have "accessory" for series fans; Project Runway the videogame puts players in the role of aspiring fashion designers. Similar to the show, "designers" are presented with a range of theme challenges as they create fashions, select models, and style them with hair, make-up, and accessories. Players can then go from designer to model and show off their creations and work their way down the runway using the Wii Balance Board accessory. Capturing the true essence of Project Runway, the title features the show's key talent Heidi Klum, Tim Gunn, Michael Kors and Nina Garcia as well as eight contestants from season six including reigning Project Runway winner Irina Shabayeva.

In addition to the core reality show competition, the Project Runway video game for Wii includes a variety of fun, family friendly game features inspired by the content from the show. These include:

  • a Wii Balance Board-compatible catwalk game
  • an interactive garment studio
  • a fashion career mode
  • hair and make-up studios
  • a high-profile fashion photo shoot

This fashion forward title, developed by Tornado Studios, is currently available for Wii and will also be available on PC March 9, 2010.

SpongeBob's Boating Bash (NDS/Wii)

In this four-player family-friendly "crash-n-bash" multi-playergame, players cause mayhem in the wacky world of Bikini Bottom as they drive customizable boat mobiles, compete against their favorite SpongeBob SquarePants characters in zany arenas, and collect boat parts in order to earn their boating license.

After failing to pass Ms. Puff's boat mobile driving class 78 times, SpongeBob SquarePants remains determined to finally earn a boat mobile license but is tricked into taking the wacky "Learn to D.R.I.V.E." course offered to him by a shady shark named Seymour Scales. SpongeBob has no idea that the course literally will steer him in zany directions. SpongeBob's Boating Bash will introduce an off-the-wall driving adventure that will have players swerving to avoid obstacles, crashing into other boat mobiles to win a race, all the while collecting boat parts to earn points. Driving behind the wheel of customizable boat mobiles, players will wreak havoc and demolish their opponent's boats to ultimately be the last one standing.

SpongeBob's Boating Bash, rated E for everyone, is available at the suggested retail prices of $39.99 (Wii) and $29.99 (DS/Nintendo DSi).
