We will update this throughout the day when new announcements become available. Read more for details ...

Section 8 (PS3)

TimeGate’ssci-fimultiplayer FPS broke genre conventions when it was released on the Xbox 360® and PC last September, offering dynamic in-game objectives, “burn-in” spawning, customizable loadouts and deployable equipment.  These features were designed to create deep, rewarding gameplay with an unprecedented amount of strategic control, and they deliver.

The PS3 version of Section 8 offers superior graphics and enhanced game play, thanks to additional development time; rich, higher-res textures; and a streamlined multiplayer matchmaking system.

“We were very receptive to press and community feedback when developing Section 8 for the PlayStation®3 system,” says Robert Siwiak, Director of Production at TimeGate Studios. “We utilized the extra development time to expand content, enhance features, and took multiple steps to guarantee PlayStation®3 system fans will not be disappointed.”

Gamers who love single-player experiences will appreciate the game’s instant action mode, which supports multiple game types.  Section 8 includes 11 maps, three of which were only available as premium content on other platforms.

Section 8 also allows users to host 32-player games through TimeGate’s proprietary TGNServer technology.  This is the first time any game will allow users to use home PCs to host large multiplayer matches for PS3.

Developed by TimeGate Studios, this full-featured, first-person shooter (FPS) deploys in North America for just $29.99 USD on the PlayStation Store.

Triple Crown Championship Snowboarding (Wii)

Compete against pros Hannah Teter, Gretchen Bleiler, Lindsey Jacobellis, Seth Wescott, and Nate Holland in Snowboard Cross, Halfpipe, and Slopestyle events. Triple Crown Championship Snowboarding is the only game that brings the biggest pros and the best snowboarding events to your living room!

Destineer is proud to congratulate each of the riders featured in Triple Crown Championship Snowboarding for their performances at the 2010 Winter Olympics. Hannah Teter took silver in the half pipe competition and Seth Wescott won his second consecutive gold medal for his amazing performance in snowboard cross (SBX).

Features:

With full Wii Balance Board accessory support, Triple Crown Championship Snowboarding features four core event types with an additional matching number of variants:

  • Half pipe: The ideal setup to show off the most breathtaking tricks, Triple Crown Championship Snowboarding drops you into the pipe alone to rack up the highest score, but also offers two variants – Endless Half Pipe (where good tricks earn extra time to keep the run going) and Dual Half Pipe for head-to-head split screen competition.
  • Snowboard Cross (SBX): A breakneck race to the finish, SBX features four riders at a time launching themselves down the mountain, trying to find the optimal path. Some friendly shoving might be the only way to clear your chosen line, so don’t worry about being gentle!
  • Slopestyle: Combining the tricking of half pipe with slalom’s white-knuckle precision speed, the Slopestyle events test players on all fronts.
  • Slalom: Speed is your friend, but accuracy getting around the gates correctly will earn you the top slot in Triple Crown Championship Snowboarding’s slalom races. One alternate challenge gives you precious time with each successfully-navigated gate to see how long you can make the ride last and another adds the friendly aggression of SBX’s shoves!

Each of the main event types also feature multiplayer (for two to four local players) and Wii Balance Board support.

Bakugan Battle Trainer (NDS)

Putting a brand new spin on the immensely popular Bakugan video game series, Bakugan Battle Trainer is a brawler's dream. Players develop their Bakugan's skills and maximize their battling abilities as they take on a shadowy invader who has imprisoned fellow Bakugan.

"Bakugan Battle Trainer nails the classic elements that have made Bakugan one of the most popular kids' entertainment experiences in the world, while taking advantage of the Nintendo DS' features to provide the full interaction with the Bakugan that kids have been thirsting for," said David Oxford, Activision Publishing.

Players level up their Bakugan by performing a variety of training methods between epic brawls. With over 25 Bakugan available to collect in Bakugan Battle Trainer, players have an enormous amount of choice when it comes to training their creatures. As they triumph over enemies, players will gain opportunities to acquire new skills. For the first time, Bakugan fans find out first hand what happens before and after the brawls.

Bakugan Battle Trainer, rated E for Everyone, is available now for $29.99.

Rooms: The Main Building (NDS/Wii)

Rooms: The Main Building is set to challenge the minds of Wii and Nintendo DS players as they attempt to solve sliding puzzles in order to escape a series of surreal mansions.  Players use various items and the guidance of their host, Mr. Book, to navigate the mystical new world.

“This game is quite unique,” said Mike Pepe, director of marketing of Hudson Entertainment.  “Rooms: The Main Building will provide hours of adventure and intuitive fun for players as they attempt to jump from room to room using their brain power and puzzle-solving skills.”

Designed specifically for point and click controls, Rooms: The Main Building features ideal gameplay for the Wii Remote™ and the Nintendo DS™ stylus.  In each room, players must use intellect, strategy and various objects to solve each puzzle.  To make it into next room, players must carefully shift pieces in the current room around, in a manner similar to slide puzzles, to keep moving forward.  Players are also rewarded with a bonus if the background is placed correctly.  With more than 100 rooms to go through and a level editor to create even more, players will discover that the solution is only a doorstep away.

Rooms: The Main Building, rated E for Everyone, is now available for $29.99.
